LSPDFR / Rage Hook not loading after updating

So, I'm really new to all this (joined yesterday) and everything worked fine for me until this GTA Online update a few hours ago.

 

I waited until the patched Rage Hook version was released, updated it and the game keeps stuck in the loading screen, saying something like "Loading storymode with Rage Hook Plugin" or smth.

 

That might sound like a stupid question, but as I said I'm new, but do I have to wait for the plugins I added to update to the game update aswell?

if you have a mods folder, rename it to something else, delete scripthook.dll and play like normal with no  mods until scripthook gets an update

Woody, it sounds like he doesn't have Scripthook (also no mods)  installed, since he's a new user. I just did a refresh and re-installed LSPDFR and Rage plugin (nothing else installed) but i'm having the same issue. Gonna check the RPH forums and let you know if I find a fix.

I am not having any issues, I just renamed mods to mods 1, deleted scripthook.dll and I am playing without issue.

Yea, I don't have scripthook, only Rage Hook Plugin and "add ons" for LSPDFR, also other vehicle textures and a different pistol, but nothing to special.

@LMS Here you go and thank you for taking care of my case.

 

Btw I tried it again a few mins ago, once with all Plugins like the EUP Menu, LSPDFR and once only with LSPDFR, but it didn't work and kept me stuck in the loading screen.

Are you able to load the game without LSPDFR? Also, when you are stuck in the loading screen, are you able to open the console (F4 by default)? If so, try running this and please tell me what happens: Execute "Game.FadeScreenIn(3000);"

@LMS I'm not able to load the game with "Don't load any plugins on startup" either.

 

I could open the console and executed your command, this is what appeard:

 

  [Date & Time] Compilation successful.

  [Date & Time] <UNLOADED PLUGIN>: Initializing input system

  [Date & Time] <UNLOADED PLUGIN>: Initializing game console

  [Date & Time] <UNLOADED PLUGIN>: Initializing forms manager

 

But after that nothing happend and I keep getting stuck in the loading screen.

Is there any chance you have OpenIV mods? Could you please try to disable them, if so?

So, I fixed it. It seemed to be a problem with something inside the mod folder, because as soon as I opened up OpenIV and went into the mod folder I got a messaged that I have and outdated update.rpf file. I clicked on replace & update and everything is running fine again.

 

Might be caused by installing the LSPD vehicle pack, because I reinstalled this a few mins ago, after everything worked, (because when I patched the update.rpf file OpenIV told me all changes which I made before inside the folder are gone now) but then my game started crashing when I started GTA, so I removed this pack and everything works again.

Might be the cause for the first issue, might also be a second one, who knows.

Thanks for the update. I tried the same and indeed the LSPD pack crashes the game. Maybe we have to wait for Captain to update those files to match the game update? I guess I'll have to download individual models elsewhere in the meantime. Did you try the sheriff and fib pack from him after the update? Same results?
