ELS is causing my GTA IV to crash

Hi,

I have legit version of GTA IV from steam.

I put all my mods on can my new police cars from this pack "DDOPPLER_IV_Merseyside_Police_Pack_v1.1" and that game keep crashing so I looked at the forums and someone said they took the ELS Folder out and ran the game then closes it put the ELS folder back in and it work, so I tried that but Once I put the ELS folder back in the game started crashing again. So ELS is the problem I have tried different versions of this but still nothing. The game crashes after about 5 mins into playing. I have included the log and screenshots of the log for you. PLZ help as I really wanna use ELS so much thanks.

i have been searching for a while now and i can't pinpoint this problem exactly. how long do you actually get to play the game before it crashes? by that i mean do you get to actually get in a cruiser and go on patrol? did you try uninstalling that car pack that you used right before the crash and then try to play? because if the game was playing just fine and you added something right after that, its a possibility there is the problem. lemme know what happens

Hi,

thanks for replying but I can do anything from 2 mins to about 10 mins if I am lucky but its only ELS causing the problem. I have reinstalled the game 3 times in 1 day to make sure. I have deleted ELS and reinstalled it about 5 times and nothing. this only happens with ELS as soon as its out of the route folder the game works fab but I just wish it worked with it and I would have no problems with anything. Thanks for trying though. :)

I have some ideas ill try tomorrow.

okay let me know if it works. have you tried downgrading to els 8 to see if that works?

no I couldn't find it. I could only fine ELS 7 but its awful. Enless you have a link that u could send me plz it would be much appreciated :)

Use the latest ELS IV (8.51)

Go to your GTA Root folder and open ELS.ini with notepad. Hold CTRL and press F and type "Ai_Els_Sp" without the quotes and hit enter.

It will highlight a line with the same thing you just typed - next to it should be a value of 1. Change that to 0, save and exit.

Not go back to your GTA root folder and delete the files oldsession.fr and Savegame.fr.

It should work.

I have attempted to do this but the Ai_Els_Sp doesn't say 1 or 0 it has On or Off so I changed it to off. I still have the same problem it does nothing.

Is there a certain way or certain order to put these mods in?

ELS,

Tranier,

Police Helper,

Towing truck,

SparkIV

And some police cars from the DDopplerIV Police Pack

Edit:

I just ran the game without mods apart from LCPDFR and after 3-5 mins it crashed and said fatal Error. So I am re downloading the game I have deleted LCPDFR and the other mods and ill redownload them from scratch.

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you. Due to my studies I have not looked at the files for a while.

The issue confirmed: the old british packs (including the Merseyside one you use) have known issue with lcpdfr 1.0+. Even Double Doppler himself cannot find the issue. The only solution is to use lcpdfr 0.95, sorry!
