The Sedan is the only decent looking automobile here.

I agree. The Taurus looks virtually the same as the 2013 model, which is nice because the rest of them are hideous. Especially that Expedition with those rims. What the fuck is that meant to be, Pimp My Ride? Is there a PS2 in the backseat too?

I agree too with you but the most interested car in my opinion is the Expedition (Second one).

Just don't insult or demeaned big or small efforts because i know that you can't do it so calm down and just watch their awesome work

Respect Efforts

Interesting that they are putting more focus on the Expedition, whatever van that is, and the F-150 this year.

I feel like that's to keep up with Dodge and Chevy counter parts i.e. the Ram 1500 Special Service, The 12th gen Tahoe PPV, and the Van to keep up with the what ever Van Chevy has

The Taurus does look nice, and I prefer the 2013-2015 explorers, but tbh if I had to chose from 2015+ Tahoe or the Expedition I'd take the Expedition.

And all of them are as ugly and slow as ever. Hurry up and go back to the drawing board, Ford. These are all terrible vehicles with the possible exception of the F-150 for general use by a civilian; but it's not necessarily the best law enforcement vehicle.

For all the haters: I don't think thousands of departments are accidentally getting FPIUs and FPIs. The Taurus model has some mixed reviews in terms of comfort, but both are exceedingly popular and in high demand for good reason. Competition is out there, and they're losing.

That being said, for Christ's sake...put some better rims on that expedition....

I kinda like that boxy thingie in top left, remains me of good old times of long square cars. All the others would look good in Europe I guess.

It's an expedition, awesome police car

It's sad that Ford lost their hold on the emergency vehicle market. Once they discontinued the CVPI, they didn't really have anything to replace it with, which was a huge mistake. That allowed Dodge and Chevy to fill the void that Ford left, and now Ford is scrambling to get that control back with the FPIU and FPI. However, most departments where I live are pretty meh on the Ford lineup. We mostly use FPIUs and Chargers with some Tahoes sprinkled in.

Ford done fucked up. They needed to have a successor to the Crown Vic. It was the king of the law enforcement world, but now there's nothing to fill that void.

Que? As I already noted, Ford has basically recovered its market share that the CVPI used to hold.

How many of those are actually patrolling the streets? Sure, agencies like the CHP are heading towards FPIs and such, but they're a huge agency. I bet you only a few agencies really make up that market share, and the fact that they have now 4 vehicles help, compared to Dodge, who usually just uses the Charger.

Also, it's taken this long for Ford to catch up, they still messed up not having a replacement for the CVPI when it was discontinued.

At least in the PNW, most departments at least have a FPIU, however, most officers are "meh" on it as I stated. I've talked to many officers, and they don't like the Caprice, it's not as functional as the CVPI, the Charger is okay, Tahoes are good as they have been, but they miss the CVPI. The only thing they said they liked better on the FPIU than the CVPI was it's ride height and comfortably. Most of the PNW departments are holding on to their CVPIs dearly. They will ride those things until they disintegrate like the Blues Mobile.

The CVPI was gonna die. It was a 30 year old platform, and it simply couldn't keep up with CAFE and modern safety standards. The current Ford offerings do.

Don't get me wrong, I like CVs, I've owned 5 Panther platform cars. But blame the government, not Ford, for killing the car.

You give me anecdotal evidence based on personal observation, but if 60%+ PD sales are going to Ford, it tells me a lot of what is actually out there on the road.
