Cant start gta 4 after downloading the mod

I got a new computer and got a graphics card and i can run gta iv. I downloaded the mod and it wont even start gta iv now. Please help

Now i download it, it runs gta 4 but before it starts it says there is a problem with the dsound.dll file, i delete it and it runs, but the mod wont start. Is there a program i need to get before it will run?

Ok, firstly, type in google search GTA IV patch upgrade. Go to a site where it comes up with EFIGS, download the english patch and you are set. Script hook will work, same with anything else such as mods

i am having similar problem game starts to load yet always shows that text saying gtaIV has stopped working and i have to close it. This happens evrey time i load GTAIV. so far not even tried the mod or even the game.

Sounds like you need to download/update GFWL (Games For Windows Live). Go here, and go to the bottom of the page. Near the middle it will say Download. Click that, and install.
