LCPDFR crashes right away?

I've noticed that my LCPDFR isn't running like it should. It will crashed right when I respond to a call,backup, pull a car over, etc., Yes I looked and read a lot of support threads (did a lot of process of eliminations myself) that I finally got it to at least run LCPDFR. I have all of the latest Microsoft downloads and DirectX 9.0 run times, and put my files off of read-only. I am experiencing the error "MMA10":Out of memory-please re-boot your system" which if I read correctly should not be a big deal. If it is in fact a big deal then I will manually fix that as stated in the support thread for this but for now I will skip. 

 

I also deleted my LCPDFR .95 and all of it's file. I reloaded GTA4 and LCPDFR 1.0 at least twice.. I am not running any other scripts (traffic flow, braveheart,etc.)  with LCPDFR 1.0. I'm just at a dead end here and hope that someone can give me some advice. I understand it's crazy busy with this new release of LCPDFR and hate to bother the geniuses on here:) but I'm  just very frustrated with this crash I am having.

I've had similar issues since I downloaded 1.0 but I've managed to work things out and now I can get a solid 30+ minutes in before I start crashing. 

 

One question. (I don't know how relevant this is however it made a MASSIVE difference for me.) Are you using GTAiv or EFLC? 

 

If you're using EFLC try switching to just plain gtaiv and installing it there. 

 

I'm also assuming that you're running as administrator when you load up the game, since you have looked around on your own, I'm sure you've read that about a million times. Also something that helps me out a little bit is opening task manager and closing all programs that aren't being used. It doesn't make a huge difference but it does seem to help. But like I said, if you can try a game switch. (gtaiv to gtaiv eflc and the other way around). This isn't the most technical response however it's what finally got mine running. (Been trying since release and it's the only thing I've found.)

 

Just found one more thing that seems to be a trigger. Use the default LCPDFR settings file if you're not already doing so. Don't alter it! Whenever I mess with the call out times and multipliers it seems to cause a lot of LCPDFR related crashes.)

1) I am running GTA4 (play game as administrator and even load LCPDFR as administrator as well) and I only play under GTA 4 and I never play EFLC. 2) I have all of my programs off that aren't being used. 3) The only thing I changed on the LCPDFR settings is the button for siren and quick action menu? 

 

I really appreciate the quick response and helpful advice.  

 

I also can't remember which one is better for online and not for online play but I am using dsound.ll... I only play online due to easy access of taking police off and running the city by myself... or would xlive.dll be better suited for just game play with no online play??? No I'd tried everything you mentioned above and I'm still crashing right after I accept a call in. The only thing I can try next is when I download GTA4 is there a way to eliminate the EFLC download content? I guess manually download my GTA4 disc without the add on of EFLC? Do you have gta4 AND gta4 EFLC? If they're installed they're registered as completely separate games. I'm slightly confused about the first three sentences, it sounds like you're asking how do you eliminate EFLC from the gta4 EFLC disk, which you can't. When you uninstall though, make sure to go into the directory and make sure there's absolutely no gta files remaining. 

 

On a side note, I know the developers are working hard on making a fix, so you may have to wait. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. I know your specific issue isn't the only one, it's just this issue seems to be caused and fixed in a variety of ways.

^^^ Nice call.  I have noticed my crashes have sky rocketed since the first night the 1.0 mod became available.  I did modify the call times and something else.  i am going to go try now with the original file and see if it doesn't calm down some now.

Either way, there are two install folders. One for EFLC and GTA IV, also did you try setting both LaunchGTAIV.exe and GTAIV.exe to admin, for launchgtaiv.exe to do that you have to right click it and then click troubleshoot compatibility. For GTAIV.exe, right click it then click properties, click compatibility, click run as admin, then click apply and ok.

Let us know if it makes a difference. I'm trying to see if there's a pattern. (Most of the errors are only looked at as what the logs give, however I'm seeing a lot of these issues are just a tad bit deeper than that. Hope it works though!!! :)

I am in no way a developer type etc.. however  as reported  I had 3 crashes in about 15 mins of game time last night.. a crash about every 5 mins.

 

After doing what the guy suggested  and I replaced the modified file with the unedited version that comes with 1.0.. i was able to play for just over 1 hr straight without a crash.

 

i did finally crash still  but 1 hr is a big improvement over 3 in 15 mins or so.

 

i do not know what it means  but it must have done something positive.

I'd assume then that when the settings file is manipulated it just overloads gta. (To many scripts firing off at once). I think that has to do with a lot of the crashes though. Accepting calls, arresting, transporting, etc. At some point more than one thing is being triggered and it just overloads it. Thanks for updating though. Hopefully the devs notice the pattern as well.

Can you send the ScriptHook.log and the ScriptHookDotNet.log to us. They are in your GTA IV install folder.

I have not tried this? I will do it now.. Also I just wanna say again that I am in no way running any other scripts (braveheart, traffic flow, etcs)... Everything is just plain and simple with the game GTA4(EFLC) and the only script LCPDFR 1.0. I'm not running any custom uniforms or ELS cars or ELS lighting. 

Can you send the ScriptHook.log and the ScriptHookDotNet.log to us. They are in your GTA IV install folder.

I tried this and I only lasted just maybe 2mins into the script but once I accepted a call in it crashed on me.... I noticed my LCPDFR 1.0 will skip my game play just enough for me to notice something isn't right... My screen will slightly freeze for like .5 second. Like it's loading too much stuff at once and causing some type of overload on my game.

 

My specs on my computer should be more than capable to run LCPDFR1.0 script.

Well I probably copy and paste the manually installation LCPDFR 1.0 about 4-5 more times into my GTA4 folder and I am now getting about 15mins of playing time. Much better than 1min into the game or crashed right after the first call in.

make sure you anti virus programe isnt missing with it like norton will think its a virus and its not

scripts are commonly mistaken as virus and blicked buy anti virus even if you siad to allow it norton will block any ways try manul install tak eout you anti virus use mcirosoft free anti virus is not messing with it all all and is free make iobit make software called advanced system carei havebeen using it over ten year and instlled over ten thousand laptops computers and it help a lot there is  a new free driver update programe you could rub it nakw sure you drivers are up to date run all updates direct x etc best of luck

1) The only anit virus I have is Microsoft essential? Which Ill look into 2) I also used System Mechanic to keep my PC clean and running good. 3) All of my drivers are up to date as well. Although Ill double check my drivers.

 

I'll go ahead and manually install LCPDFR.. Noticed I did the automatic Installation but used my manually installation to copy and paste into my GTA4.

Well I just played for 30mins and threw everything I could at the game.... I arrested 3 suspects and called for 3 different prisoner transports at the same time and still no crash... I say I am making some good progress due to the help of Apollyon, Officer Afroray, retrocidal.... I did lot of stuff  that you guys told me to do that I didn't do. But I think one of my major problem was that I ran the automatic installation but forgot to remove the automatic installation after I manually install the LCPDFR. Dumb mistake but I did it. Hopefully this thread will help others out as it did me.. I'm hoping that this will continue to get better because it is such an awesome mod!!!!!! LCPDFR 1.0 all the way!!!!

Can you send the ScriptHook.log and the ScriptHookDotNet.log to us. They are in your GTA IV install folder.

 

 

crashes again tonight  but it's still much better than before.. Only 1 an hr or so usually.  here is the latest log's from tonight  if it helps ya any.

Well I probably copy and paste the manually installation LCPDFR 1.0 about 4-5 more times into my GTA4 folder and I am now getting about 15mins of playing time. Much better than 1min into the game or crashed right after the first call in.

Any help would really be appreciated!  

 

This error is common, the developers are trying to figure out why. The Unable to cast object of type 'freval_77' to type 'freval_89'.   at freval_238.eval_fr0(freval_81 A_0, Boolean A_1) error is what i am talking about. crashes again tonight  but it's still much better than before.. Only 1 an hr or so usually.  here is the latest log's from tonight  if it helps ya any.

I have gotten this before, all I did was try playing GTA again and then I got Irish1Brian's error.
