Because the only response to my question on the Unofficial LSPDFR Support Server was "try google" and nothing else, here I am again for the second time today. I did not want this day off to be fully dedicated to LSPDFR bugs, but here we are.

So, my game is crashing when I go on duty. It occurs midway through loading my callout plugins. I've had this issue before, but this is different: this one apparently doesn't mean anything.

If I'm reading it correctly, the problem here is (in bold):

I "tried google" as that helpful user told me, and got literally nothing, which is great. It'd be nice if I knew where that line 199 was, or what the hell the issue even is to begin with.

While you're here, I have a slightly different issue on the side: for some reason, my unmarked CVPI in the police4 slot has a slight livery design for no reason. I checked the texture files for pretty much all of my cars, including police4, and I can't find what's causing this issue. It wasn't like this before, and screenshots of the same car don't have this issue. The vehicle in question is from Hanako's unmarked LAPD CVPI pack, and the model itself is bcv04.

UPDATE: I fixed the unmarked CV issue. I just forgot to rename something to police4 in carvariations, and I guess the game thought this was the solution to that problem. I still have that LSPDFR crash issue though, and it's basically ruined my day since I wanted to actually play this game today.

fixed the unmarked, removed it from the title bc its no longer an issue

Modding this game is a unique experience that can't be compared to anything else. You'll have what seems to be the most obscure issue ever that will take hours for someone to reply to, if anyone even replies at all, and the solution will either be so simple you'll never get over it or so strange that you'll accidentally learn the fix and never encounter that problem again. But one thing is certain: it's almost always your fault.

  • The title was changed to LSPDFR crashing on duty (again)
  • Solution

Okay, I fixed it. It was a duplicate in UltimateBackup's CustomRegion.xml that I swear wasn't there when I ran through it twice to ensure it was clean. I'll keep this here in case I find a third game-breaking bug that turns out to be the smallest shit.

This game, man. I swear.
