Vapid Stanier Mapped SAHP-Style 1.0.6

   (9 reviews)

9 Screenshots

This is a Vapid Stanier (police) mapped by LtMattJeter ( http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8341-dev-templated-stanier/ ), and a lighting setup similar (it's not exactly the same due to game limitations and my personal preferences) the one used by California Highway Patrol, with both custom made LED lightbar (made out of default parts) inspired by Whelen Liberty and a recolored GTA IV Vector lightbar.

Due to game limitations, only the Vector lightbar has working takedowns. To turn them on, press H, just like you would to turn on high beams.

To simplyfy instalation this mod requires you to install Netman's SAHP Added cars (https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/sahp-added-cars , also found in Law Enforcement Improvements), and replace his Stanier with mine.

Included in the archive are 4 High Quality (4096x4096) and 4 Standard Quality (2048x2048) skins and PSD files with editable unit number layers for both High Quality (4096x4096) and Standard Quality (2048x2048) allowing you to make additional unit numbers, should you wish to do so.

The glass works perfectly.

What's New in Version 1.0.6

Released

1.0.6 30-10-2015
Fixed glass not breaking on rotary lightbar (bug introduced in version 1.0.5).

1.0.5 01-09-2015
Added high quality doors, gauges should work now.

1.0.4 30-08-2015
Added a version for people having trouble with white interior - that usually happens if you replace a car other than police or hwaycar2. If you don't have this issue, please use the regular version instead to save performance.

1.0.3 30-08-2015
Fixed dirt mapping (not my mistake) and removed the leftover rear view mirror lights from the interior.

1.0.2 28-08-2015
Added high quality interior - I made a mistake during exporting.

1.0.1 28-08-2015
Changed the glass texture (sheriff_lights, sheriff_lights2 was unchanged) and mapping a bit so it looks better - thanks to Pumpk1in for pointing that out.

My screens look terrible in comparison to GRCs, the exact opposite of the car itself!

The only gripe I had with yours were different resolutions. Did you crop them yourself?

Yeah. I'll leave that to you in the future.

I'll try that :) Good work !

But as I see on the screenshots, I already hate the "gtaIV style" lightbar. This lightbar is waaaaaay too huge, could you make a Fedsig SLR vision version ? Much beautifull IMO (I sayed IMO, yeah, I can understand that some people like your lightbar)

However, I love the thin lightbar ;)

But FedSig SLR is not lore-friendly and so high poly :(

From what I have gathered, poly count doesnt matter in GTA V. I saw a screenshot on gtapolicemods where they had high poly antennas on the back of their crown vic.

Haha, yeah, hi-poly models are a pain in the ass, its not necessary to have a good looking IMO.
Maybe someone will make a low poly version of this lightbar :)

I tried your model ingame and... yeah, the thin lightbar version is really nice. But there is a little problem with the led intensity as they seems dimmed compared to others lights. Look at this, the red lights from your lightbar compared to the rear window leds wich are more brighter (this is why they look more orange). Normal ? I use the same texture in these two cases.

I think It's because of the lightbar glass - the same thing happens to the default lightbar, if I am not mistaken.

No, it uses the red section - make sure the texture is transparent in that place. I think the colors look better on the default bar because of the glass color.

I prefer lore friendly textures rather than real life textures, It is so wrong if we have California cars in San Andreas, San Andreas is supposed to be parody of California, So no California things in State of San Andreas, Los Santos is still Los Santos, Blaine County is still Blaine County, LSPD is still LSPD, LSSD is still LSSD, SAHP is still SAHP, I am wondering if people living in GTA world, They could be saying "What is California?" or "What is CHP? As I remember we got SAHP" and etc.

I love the vector light bar on this car. Honestly, however, it looks a bit out of place; it seems too far back on the car. I know its current placement is accurate to the CHP, but it just doesn't look quite right, especially thinking back to GTA IV where it was much closer to the front. Right now it also leaves limited space for roof numbers for people who want to make their own skins on this car.

All-in-all, though, great work, and really a big thank you if you decide to make this change.

That would be quite wrong if he did that.

I keep getting so annoyed by this CHP, LAPD, jesus...

Install one police car, then you have to change your whole game to fit California ( billboards, street names, cars, agencies, dialogs) why getting in so much trouble

I CAN'T EVEN!

If you like California higway patrol, move to california and become a real cop, then you'll be able to fap in crown vic all day.

San Andreas for the win!

You're right, I always hate a comment about "Could you create California Highway Patrol Skin? It would be good", It always annoys me, And remember for who wanted real life skins:

This is San Andreas! Not California!

And please, I don't want those suggestions for real life textures on lore friendly vehicle models or textures, Lore friendly stays being lore friendly.

Sorry for my bad english.

question, the car spawn in with the vector lightbar, how do i change it back to the thin lightbar?

You can use Simple Native Trainer - enter the car, then in SNT menu: Vehicle Options, Vehicle Components - deselect the 2nd extra and select the 1st.

i love the fact of both lightbars, and the car overall looks beautiful, however is there any chance that on the vector lightbar you could slim down the height profile of the light covers? idk to me they seem too... tall i guess i could say lol but thats just my opinion! great work anyways

If you guys want CHP Liveries, make them yourself. Perhaps use the SAHP Liveries as the Base Texture.

Just replace the logo and you are good to go!

But that's how it was in GTA IV :( I'll think about it but I like it how it is tbh
