I created this plugin to replace the default LSPDFR Police Backup menu and combine the power of my previous three backup plugins to assist the player during traffic stop, pursuit, and on scene situations.
More over, you can also customize the police units components, properties, and weapons based on regions and zones in LSPDFR.
 

!!! ATTENTION !!!

Please DO NOT post a review based on your game crashing problem if you are not sure what causes it.

Ultimate Backup has been stable for a while and crashes can be caused by many things.

It might be a corrupted texture/model, or a conflict with other plugins.

 

If your game is crashing, Please post your RagePluginHook.log file and some description on the comment section.

I would be very happy to fix it if Ultimate Backup is the one that causes the crash.

 

 

!!! IMPORTANT NOTES !!!

You will no longer need "Traffic Stop Backup", "On Scene Backup", and "Spike trips Backup" plugins,

since they are already built in to the "Ultimate Backup" plugin.  You may remove them safely.

I recommend you to use "Ultimate Backup" instead of those 3 plugins above, because they have been discontinued.

I'll no longer support those plugins.

 

PREREQUISITES:

  1. Rage Plugin Hook v0.57 alpha
  2. LSPD First Response v0.31 by G17
  3. Rage Native UI v1.6.3 by alexguirre
  4. Traffic Policer v6.13.7.0 by Albo1125 (required by traffic stop observation)
  5. Police SmartRadio v1.1.1.1 by Albo1125 (required to request backup using Police SmartRadio)
  6. VocalDispatch v1.6.0.0 by turbofandude (optional if you want voice command to call backups)
  7. Stop The Ped v4.2.9.1 by BejoIjo

 

INSTALLATION:

  • Copy the contents of "Plugins\LSPDFR" (including subfolders) in this package to: "GTA V directory\plugins\LSPDFR"
  • If you haven't had "RageNativeUI.dll" in your "main GTA V folder", don't forget to copy the file from this package
  • Please open and edit "UltimateBackup.ini" file, if you want to replace the keyboard key or controller button bindings and any other plugin parameters

 

 

HOW TO USE:

  • To toggle "Ultimate Backup" menu, press "B" key. It will automatically override the default LSPDFR Police Backup menu.
  • You can also customize the toggle menu key or button in the "UltimateBackup.ini" file
  • If you have PoliceSmartRadio or VocalDispatch, this plugin will automatically detect and integrate their functionalities with Ultimate Backup
  • You may dismiss all backups by HOLDING "ENTER" key.
  • You may also customize the backup unit by editing the  "DefaultRegions.xml""CustomRegions.xml", and "SpecialUnits.xml"  files inside "UltimateBackup" folder

 

 

XML FILES:

  • "CustomRegions.xml": This file contains user defined regions which will override the definition in the "DefaultRegions.xml" for the designated zones
  • "DefaultRegions.xml": This file contains default LSPDFR regions which will be used as fallback when your location is not found in the "CustomRegions.xml"
  • "SpecialUnits.xml": This file contains additional "Special Units" that will be added into the Ultimate Backup Menu (orange color)

 

 

FEATURES:

  • Very easy to navigate and request backups using "RageNativeUI" menu system
  • Very easy to customize the backup unit using XML format similar with the default LSPFR backup.xml file
    • You can assign vehicle attributes to the backup unit (color, livery, extras, no of passengers, and chance of passengers)
    • You can assign components and properties of the police buddy (including hats, glasses, earpieces, and watches)
    • You can assign weapons to the police buddy, which is divided into 3 groups (non-lethal, handguns, and long-guns)
    • You can define the probability (chance) of each "VehicleSets", "Vehicles", "Peds", "HandGuns", and "LongGuns"
    • You can add your own "Special Unit" and put it into the menu by editing "SpecialUnits.xml" file
    • You may also choose the dog model for your K9 unit
  • Using PoliceSmartRadio, you can call: ("Local Patrol" only)
    • Traffic Stop Backup
    • Felony Stop Backup
    • K9 Unit Backup
    • Spike Strips Backup
    • Roadblock Backup
    • Female Backup (to assist you with female suspect)
  • Using VocalDispatch, you can call: ("Local Patrol" only)
    • Code 2 Backup
    • Code 3 Backup
    • Pursuit Backup
    • Traffic Stop Backup
    • Felony Stop Backup
    • K9 Unit Backup
    • Spike Strips Backup
    • Roadblock Backup
    • Female Backup
  • Using the Ultimate Backup Menu, you can call all kind of backups including "State Patrol", "SWAT Backups", "Air Units", "Ambulance", and "Fire Department"
  • Ambulance unit will tend to the bodies and try to perform CPR. There are 2 crews in each Ambulance unit. The "pax" attribute in xml will not have any effect.
  • Fire Department will find any fire sources and try to stop them. They can also tend to the bodies and perform CPR. There are 4 crews in each Fire Truck unit. The "pax" attribute in xml will not have any effect.
  • Code 2 backup will arrive with their gun holstered. Meanwhile, the Code 3 backup units will always have their gun drawn
  • The Backup units (except pursuit backup) will stay and stand by for you until you dismiss them or leave them away
  • If a unit consists of several cops (e.g. SWAT), you can just dismiss the group leader or driver (with the biggest blue blip) to dismiss them all
  • The Spike Strips Backup in this plugin will automatically detect target vehicle during the pursuit
  • There's a new "Panic Button" for PoliceSmartRadio by this plugin, where you can customize the units being dispatched in the UltimateBackup.ini file 
  • You can customize the "Special Unit" backup and assign a specific role to them. Available roles are "cop", "medic", and "fireman"
  • You can also assign a helicopter as a vehicle for your "Air Unit". Because the ped will get out with rappel animation, the helicopter model should have rappel device support. You can see example of this unit on "Air Ambulance" and "Air SWAT Backup"
     

 

 

TRAFFIC STOP BACKUP

  • Perform a traffic stop and pull over the suspect, then position you car behind the stopped car
  • Make sure you have enough space on your back to allow the police backup car to stop.
  • Open Ultimate Backup Menu and choose the "Traffic Stop" backup unit. (you can also use PoliceSmartRadio)
  • Wait a few seconds and your police backup will be coming and park the car right behind yours
  • Allow the police backup to walk and take position
  • When everything's fine, police buddy will be standing by for you until you dismiss him (do it by standing in front of him face-to-face) or until you're leaving the scene
     

 

OBSERVATION REPORT

  • When your police buddy taking position during the traffic stop, he/she will observe the stopped vehicle, including the driver and passengers.
  • If your buddy found something suspicious, he/she will report it to you through notification
  • Based on that report, you may conduct further investigation by performing a search on the reported subject.
  • You must have a third party search plugin to do that. Supported search plugins are:
    • Search Warrant by Darkmyre
    • Police Search by FtDLulz

 

 

FELONY STOP

  • Perform a traffic stop and pull over the suspect, then position you car behind the stopped car
  • Make sure you have enough space on your back to allow the police backup car to stop
  • Open Ultimate Backup Menu and choose the "Felony Stop" backup unit from the "Response Type" selection. (you can also use PoliceSmartRadio)
  • The backup unit will park the car next to yours and then aim the weapon at the suspect
  • You can start the felony stop process by aiming your weapon at the suspect

 


K9 BACKUP

  • K9 Backup unit is an additional unit which can only be called when you need assistance to inspect the vehicle using K9 (dog) during traffic stop
  • When the K9 officer tells you that he/she is ready, move your character in front of him/her face-to-face to make him/her start the vehicle inspection using K9
  • The K9 can also detect threat from the suspects. If so, it will attack the ped.
  • The inspection will take a while. Once it's done, the K9 officer will tell you the result.
  • Please make sure to have a car width space on the suspect vehicle right side to allow those units to move. If there's not enough space, then expect for any glitches.
  • You may choose the dog model name for k9 backup unit. Set the "k9_model" attibute within "VehicleSet". It is only valid for "K9LocalPatrol" and "K9StatePatrol"
  • Available dog models are: "CHOP", "HUSKY", "SHEPHERD", "ROTTWEILER", "RETRIEVER". (if nothing is set, default would be "SHEPHERD")

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • About Backup car parking position:
    • When it is called with Code 2 or Traffic Stop, the backup vehicle will try to park behind player's vehicle (lining up). Make sure to park parallel with the road and provide enough space for the backup cars to stop and park their cars
    • When it is called with Code 3, the unit will just come as quickly as possible and stop the vehicle at nearest location
    • If you call Code 2 backup, but the scene is not safe (threat detected) or you (player) is too far away from your police car, then backup parking position will not be lined up (it will stop at nearest location)
  • About sirens sound:
    • By default, while in Code 2 or Traffic Stop, siren sound is set to silent by this plugin
    • This will work great when you're using non-ELS car models
    • But there's a limitation for ELS car. It will still play the siren sound, even though the plugin has turned it off
    • If you are using ELS car and you want a silent siren while in Code 2, set "IsCode2SirenLightsOn" parameter in the .ini file to "no"
  • About Traffic Stop Backup
    • To enable Traffic Stop Backup Menu, You need to have a car pulled over and have the driver still inside the vehicle
    • If you ask the driver to get out of the vehicle, the traffic stop session will be closed by LSPDFR and you will not be able to open Traffic Stop Backup Menu
  • About Threat detection range
    • Sometimes if you can see a threat (shootings or weapon), but your buddies don't react, you need to increase the "ThreatDetectionRange" parameter in the .ini file
    • I set the default value to "30" to support all range of CPU specs while maintaining good frames performance
    • If you feel your CPU is strong enough, you can increase the value slightly by 10. (e.g. 40, 50)

@BejoIjo would it be possible to add the ability for us to be able to change the names each option is called? like StatePatrol would be TrafficPolice for some of us and Noose etc would be Armed Response. I have changed the names in the XML but they still appear as state and local noose etc.

Ah, I was basically copying the backup xml.  The format is correct, though, right?  the livery=""

how does the K9 works try calling for one when i was using the plug but never show up it keep saying he was in route but never show up im i missing another plug for it to work

 

what i did was i pull over someone call for back up buddy he then approaches the suspect with me he then tells me there were drugs on the car then thas when i call for the k9 but never show up

What is "pax" and "pax_chance"? Couldn't find anything in the readme.

 

NVM, found it in DefaultRegions.xml.

Is it possible right now to set a long time or great distance for swat spawn to reflect  real life when it can take 20-40 minutes for swat to come?

Crashes every time I try and call backup for traffic stop, also this mod is not the friendliest with Albo's mods in terms of compatibility Anyone know how to fix?.

Is this safe to update without swapping the XML for vehicles? I spent like an hour or two setting that up last night and I really dont want to keep going back and changing that again. I guess I could just save it to my desktop and drag it back in once updated 

I would also like to see an option to call in a supervisor at some point as well.

yes, it's safe. please make sure if new update adds new feature on XML file, so you can add them manually.

 

BTW. I keep updating this plugin because you guys keep asking to add more features on it 🙂

Thank you so much! GTA V has been a pain in the ass since there were so many keys conflicting with others, but now there is this plugin there is only one key needed.

You should of removed arrest manager a while ago from albo

@BejoIjo in addition to my last comment about changing the dispatch names.

 

can you make it possible to assign a car model and ped model to who respondes to each section? like a model for local and a model for state etc etc as I’m doing mine the Europe way so I want specific model for armed and none armed etc peds and cars so for example when I call for local it will be a basic cop in a small car but when I want state or noose then it will be a different ped and a different car 

 

also k9 dog choice in the ini would be great 

Is there a way to separate the button selection for the menu as on a game pad A is used for the menues like yours but A is also used to cancel a back up so it’s causing a crash when I’m requesting traffic stop but at the same time I’m cancelling the traffic stop lol I don’t think I’m able to change the button used 

 

i have els so I turned the options off but now the cars respond with the lights stuck on like there is no xml for for the els. Is it possible to get them to be off and not on

I did remove arrest manager and it still crashes. This has to be a plug-in glitch as I installed the mod correctly.

can you make it possible to assign a car model and ped model to who respondes to each section? like a model for local and a model for state etc etc as I’m doing mine the Europe way so I want specific model for armed and none armed etc peds and cars so for example when I call for local it will be a basic cop in a small car but when I want state or noose then it will be a different ped and a different car 

Yes you can put any car you want...just replace with the cars that you want in the XML file Ex:  replace SHERIFF with POLICE4 etc

That doesn’t only effect the armed response one I don’t believe as that effects all of the options

Hi, try to call K9 Local Patrol.

I did a typo of the vehicle model on XML for K9 State Patrol. It should be "FBI2" instead of "FIB2". I'll fix the XML in the next release

I’m sorry but @Discoyomom the fact you gave a low rating (or that you rated it at all)  because of api plugins that are essential for functionality  on ANY script mod in this game makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.  Your frustration is over something out of anyone’s control    If you don’t want to be bothered with downloading scripthook you might as well stop adding anything lmao 

 

why would you give a low review  for a matter out of the developers hands????  It baffles me

The unit names in the menu could be customized.. but the effort is quite big.

also k9 dog choice in the ini would be great 

Is there a way to separate the button selection for the menu as on a game pad A is used for the menues like yours but A is also used to cancel a back up so it’s causing a crash when I’m requesting traffic stop but at the same time I’m cancelling the traffic stop lol I don’t think I’m able to change the button used 

 

i have els so I turned the options off but now the cars respond with the lights stuck on like there is no xml for for the els. Is it possible to get them to be off and not on

 

Did you mean the ped & vehicle will be different for code2 and code3? that also possible but again the effort and time required is too much. Perhaps sometimes when I have spare time in the future.

 

Adding several dogs option is also possible.. But it also needs time and effort to implement & test each dogs on how they behave, because each dog models has their own animations.

 

If you are using ELS vehicle and want a silent siren sound, set this parameter to "no".

// Set to "yes" or "no" to set the state of siren lights during Code 2 situation.
// By default, code 2 siren sound is set to silent by this plugin. 
// But there's a limitation on ELS car, if the plugin turn on siren light without sound, the ELS car model will still play the sound.

I'm experiencing an issue when trying to use PSR to call for a backup where I get a prompt that no radio buttons are set...I looked in the ini and don't see any options to assign the buttons to use the Ultimate Backup feature any suggestions ?
