About

Synopsis

Los Santos Noir is a detective-styled modification for the popular police modification LSPDFR.  The framework provides individual cases that players progress through over time.  Utilizing LtFlash’s script manager, cases span multiple sessions.  You might start a case today, but you won’t be able to talk to the medical examiner until you hop on tomorrow!  Currently included are two demo cases.  These complete cases can take you through two different crimes that occur.  You’ll need to use your detective skills to find the evidence, talk to the individuals involved, request a warrant (hope it gets approved…), and arrest the suspect.  More cases are in development, however we wanted to release the script finally, since it’s in a completed format.

Development Roadmap

Two years of development have led to the creation of a modular, xml based plugin with unlimited possibilities.  The design started initially with an idea to create cases within the code, with one case created and running.  However, thanks to the wonderful mind of @LtFlash, my initial design was converted to be xml-based, allowing for anyone to make cases provided they have notepad on their PC.  This allows us to create a base framework that other creative minds can utilize, without any knowledge of development.  A new stage has been added, but is currently being finished - stakeout.  Expect the use of this stage soon in future updates.

**I will be adding additional cases that I have been working on soon(ish), however this release has been far overdue**

·         Much, much more!

Special Thanks

·         MulleDK19 and LMS for bringing us the amazing RagePluginHook framework.  Without them, none of this would be possible!

·         @LtFlash for completely rewriting the modification after I worked on the alpha - his contributions made the modification modular and allow us to easily add new cases and stages and actually release a stable version!

Amazing work, great job. Totally transforms the game; this was exactly what I wanted, investigative style cases. These are the best callouts I have personally done although so far I have only completed the first one, I'm hoping you have something up in Blaine County to come just to switch things up a little. I'm having a great time featuring Los Santos Noir as Bonus Episodes in my LSPDFR Homicide Hunter Series on my YouTube Channel (Officer ufo1 YouTube)

I love it, it was great to do those cases who are in it now, and I can't wait until more will be added.

Keep it up, and make us happy with more cases :) 10/5

I randomly came across this mod, finding other mods by the same author. Since reading about it, I have been looking forward to the release.

To be fair, the release has NOT let me down. There may only be 3 cases currently, but the amount of "meat" in each case, makes it feel much, much more than a single case.

Attempting to collect as much information as possible, through witnesses, evidence discovered and the crime itself was very satisfying, and leading to the end, makes you feel accomplished when all is done.

One thing I would LOVE to see, is being able to change your characters name, via configuration file, but this does NOT deter me from enjoying the game in the slightest. Great job!

Absolutely love it, I've recorded vids with it already and can't wait to make it into a series. It's so nice to play LSPDFR from a different perspective of law enforcement. This mod adds really awesome features that'll keep you interested at all times, mixed in with some pretty good humor in the lines from characters.

Tiny bit of work could be done to the lines with grammar and what not, but I'm not familiar with where the Development team is, or what their primarily spoken language is, can't throw any blame.

Great mod, great immersion and I'm glad to see this out after some very hard work. Thank you!

June of 2016 I came across [WIP] L.S. Noir page and I have waited patiently since then for this masterpiece to release. I still have my Secondary Callouts folder to this day .  Ah the memories. Still one of my favorite Callout packs of all time. Sad to see it go, but I felt 100x better the moment I found out he was working on this amazing plugin and looking at it now. WOW what a great job Fiskey111 and I would also like to say thank-you to LtFlash as well.. I don't need any convincing to download this and If you've used Secondary Callouts and loved it as much as I did, then you don't need convincing either. 10/10 T

I LOVE IT!! Awesome job, you can really see how much work has been put in. There are some spelling issues but that's okay. I can not wait till more comes out. Thank you so much! This is a MUST GET. My buddy and I have been doing this since 11:40 pm my time and I just finished and it is now 3:32 AM so that shows how long it actually takes you to do it all. I love that you don't just go talk to someone and it's done like most of these call outs/scripts. It takes time and actual skill.

Amazing works! I like the xml based cases feature which allow everyone to create cases without having to code.

Good job! and please ignore the non-5 star review!

They don't know how hard it is to develop a plugin. Shame on them!

So I've been looking at this mod for a while and wondering how my game would handle it. I was very skeptical going into it but I decided I would use it for some of my LSPDFR Episodes and this mod/script I must say DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!

If I had the ability to give this thing more than 5 stars it would be more. Whatever the max you could give would be this script deserves it all day long hands down!

I couldn't believe the amount of detail that went into all 3 cases and all the little touches to make it feel like you were playing LA Nore and then some of the scenes bringing great reminders of the old Police Quest Series specifically Police Quest 4.

I had a few problems when I had to arrest a suspect where I let the AI do it once and then LSPDFR would crash, I then tried arresting them and calling transport with Albos Arrest Manager and got a LSPDFR Crash, and then Finally I tried taking the person down the station myself and got a Crash there so I'm not sure if there was something I wasn't doing right or a script I had that I probably shouldn't have.

A REALLY REFRESHING SURPRISE I got was when the first crash had happen I decided to stop recording and end the episode disappointed that I would not finish the case to see the results. I was pleased to see that when I started the game to try recording again the script picked right up where I left off. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW AWESOME THIS IS When you are Recording Content.

If you watch my episodes on my Channel I couldn't stop praising your script enough with everything it has to offer and I do apologize I didn't know your screen name to credit you at the time I was recording.

I REALLY Hope you update this Script with more cases in the future but the Initial release of this thing was just AMAZING.

Thank you for sharing this and the time and effort it must of taken to get this to work this perfect.

This is, by far the most in-depth and amazing mod I've ever seen, especially with the custom made missions.

Perhaps some voice recordings could go along nicely with the missions, but not essential.

A must have if you want to have that little bit of detective feel in Los Santos.

I played one mission yesterday and I really like it.
However, there's a small bug and at the same time a funny story I'd like to report. At the time the coroner vehicle spawned, LSPDFR randomly decided to mark the driver for traffic felony. The coroner vehicle drove by but didn't stop. I got in my car, chased and stopped him. I just gave the driver a warning. That was enough to have the white blip removed from the coroner vehicle. I headed back to the crime scene and the coroner arrived. The driver was total drunk. It was hilarious to see the coroner writing his report while hardly being able to stand on his feet.
I'm not even sure if you should fix this bug. Yes it is unexpected but also a funny incident which the player can fix by himself.

I think this is absolutely awesome, the amount of depth to each call out is great, you a really do feel like an LSPD detective. I've always wanted an LA Noire with a modern setting and this mod delivers.  I will say however I'm experiencing a crash with the drive by investigation, it seems every time I attempt to speak with a doctor at at the hospital the game crashes. However I believe this to be an issue on my side, probably a conflicting modification, but I will mention it just in case anyone else experiences the same issue. Other than that you guys have done an incredible job, thank you for your effort and keep up the amazing work!

Awesome mod, a few bits and pieces that need some touching up, but it's really awesome! Could do with some voice acting though if that's possible.
