Make Peds Calm Again (Exclude Gang Members, Panic when gun discharged) 1.2.5.0

About This File

"Make Peds Calm Again" plugin is inspired by "Keep Calm" plugin by @Stealth22 . But, due to lags and performance issues when using it on my rig, I decided to develop my own similar plugin for LSPDFR, with more additional features.

 

What makes it different:
- Designed and created with performance and optimization in mind
- This plugin is very light weight, thus almost NO LAG and NO FPS DROP when using it

- A lot of new features

 

PREREQUISITES:

  1. Rage Plugin Hook v0.57 alpha
  2. LSPD First Response v0.31 by G17

 

FEATURES:

  • Make all ambient peds including ped drivers in the vehicles stay cool and calm when you are pointing your gun at them
  • Will not affect all peds spawned by LSPDFR plugins (including callouts)
  • You can toggle on/off the plugin using keyboard key (configurable in the .ini file)
  • You may automatically activate it on startup (configurable in the .ini file)
  • You may exclude the gang members to be affected by this plugin, so they might still attack you (configurable in the .ini file)
  • You may separately enable calm  effect  for the peds on foot and peds driving a vehicle (configurable in the .ini file)
  • You may set the calm radius (configurable in the .ini file)
  • When shooting is happening, the peds will get panic and flee. Peds will still be calm if you only aim a gunpoint at them. Peds on foot and drivers have separate flags (configurable in the .ini file)
  • When player vehicle's sirens/lights are on and vehicle is moving, the driver calm effect is temporarily paused, so they will make ways for you properly (configurable in the .ini file)
  • New "Freeze Driver" feature to to make all cars stopped in a certain radius using a key press (default: LControl+Delete). It shall ignore driver of all emergency vehicles including Coroner from Arrest Manager, so they will still be able to reach the victims or suspects.
     

 

INSTALLATION:

  • Copy the contents of "Plugins\LSPDFR" in this package to: "GTA V directory\plugins\LSPDFR"
  • Please open and edit "MakePedsCalmAgain.ini" file, if you want to replace the keyboard key or controller button bindings

NOTE: If you're upgrading from previous version, please copy and overwrite all files.

 

HOW TO USE:

  • To toggle the "Make Peds Calm Again plugin" calm effect on/off, use the LControl + Z key (default)
  • To toggle "Freeze Driver" on/off, user the LControl+Delete key (default)
  • You may change the toggle key as you wish by editing the .ini file

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Sometimes, a few peds are still panic (around 5% probability) to make the game more alive

How does this differ from "Stop Shitting Bricks"? As far as I know that one doesn't cause any FPS drops either.

 

Fantastic work bringing back some nice originals with some much needed optimization and performance tweeks!

  • SSB is a metafile mod. Thus, you should manually replace the file using OpenIV if you want to enable or disable it. With this plugin, you can easily turn it on/off on the fly with a press of a key.
  • "Make Peds Calm Again plugin" selectively applies the calm effect to ambient peds only. It does not affect the peds spawned from LSPDFR and its callouts plugins. I guess SSB will affect all the peds without exception. (CMIIW)

isn't that what will happen in real life? why do you want all the peds becoming emotionless, blind and deaf?

do you not understand english or something? i asked if it is possible to turn off ped annoyance. Even though they are calm, peds still honk non-stop and shout every kind of insult out there and it has always been that way. Watching DOJRP videos, i noticed that peds are not so impatient, they just sit there and wait. And in real life nobody is gonna honk or shout or even ram police vehicles when they have lights activated and are on a scene.

Hey love this idea. Getting sick and tired of being trampled because i try and  arrest someone. My question is; Does this keep peds calm while in there cars? So I dont like, get plowed over by a random ped? Looking forward to using this!

Is it also possible to make the peds not steal cars ?. Would it also be possible for all the drivers to be calm? It's just as if they happen to run over me if I shoot.

I personally don't suffer from any performance drops from using Keep Calm, but I can only speak for myself.  I like that you put performance and optimization as the main focus for this mod.

keepcalm disables gang attacks too .. like when i shot at a gangmember, his homies dont fight. i will test with yours.

I like the mod as it doesn't make drivers go crazy and run me over, but I feel as if the ambient peds are too calm.  Nobody fights you at all, especially the gang members.

yeah unfortunately, make peds calm does its job good enough regarding traffic spazzing out but it makes other ambient peds way too calm. i can just waltz into gangland territory and start popping off shots with no consequence.

 

peds are TOO calm

Hey could you add the feature like in Keep Calm where you could choose if it affected peds at all. The gang member option is a good start but when I shoot the gun it would be nice if the peds walking around the street would freak out.

wouldn't we need this plugin to calm ped down during guns hots? if you want the ped to freak out you can disable this plugin using a key.

i think there's a keybind to enable/disable the effect.

I was only talking about the peds on the streets walking/hanging out, not the drivers.

Is there an option in the ini file where I can calm drivers only and not the peds walking in the street so it will not make my arrest and/or pull over go bad? My main problem is that the drivers in cars usually go crazy when they hear gun shots and run me over making my pull over/arrest look horrible bad.

I don’t know if I installed wrong or what but when I had it in my game it would constantly crash. I took it out and the crashes stopped. 

 

Update I installed it again and everything works just the way it should so awesome.

It affects how the AI vehicles will behave when the lights/sirens are on? 

For some reason when I have my lights and sirens on the AI vehicles are not pulling over and just continue and waving in and out. Trying to figure out if It's this plugin that causing it.
