Information:

I've been working on this pack now for well over a month, with at least a week or so dedicated to testing to make sure this pack was fit for purpose. 

The pack contains 8 vehicles, ranging from patrol vehicles to SWAT trucks. They are based loosely off the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, but instead it features a different light pattern. The pack features a full halogen light bar, with additional lighting across the vehicle.

 

This pack contains:

  • 2010-2013 Police Supervisor Vehicle
  • 2011 Police Crown Victoria Patrol Vehicle
  • 2014 Police Dodge Charger Patrol Vehicle
  • 2016 Police Taurus Patrol Vehicle
  • 2013 Police Ford Explorer Patrol Vehicle
  • 2015 Police Chevy Tahoe Patrol Vehicle
  • Lenco Bearcat SWAT Vehicle
  • 2011 Expedition Patrol and Supervisor Vehicle
  • 2014 Caprice Patrol Vehicle
  • Chevy Express PT/ Detention Van

The carcols.ymt and the carvariations files are necessary for the light bar to work properly. Full details can be found the ReadMe.

These vehicles are not based of any specific department. Please don't comment on it being inaccurate or whatever. It's not meant to be.

Known Bugs:

  • Cuffed individuals will partially stick through the back panels of the Express. If they sit regularly, this does not occur (uncuffed).
  • Insides of the Expeditions tires have no textures (fixing as we speak... I hope)

I tried again but still won’t change, I checked in open iv and there is 4 skins 1-3 is the marked skin and #4 looks like it’s plain for unmarked.

Make sure you have the correct flags under Police4 in your vehicles.meta

Hey so I’m having issues with the new expedition. I installed the car and vcf but cannot get the lights to flash. The traffic advisor and grill lights work just not the lightbar.

That's because you are installing them wrong then. Don't blame it on him. Actually, read the readme file. Don't go criticising peoples work if you cant install it correctly. Read the bit about the car variations file. 

I had absolutely no problem installing, or getting this pack to work. It is an amazing pack.

    If you are using any form of dlc folder (albo's, captain14s, etc) you must make sure you change the vehicle slots siren setting in the carvariations to (to 15 in this packs case) for it to work. 

    So I can use Ablo's way to install the vehicle like I always do, then the only thing I have to change is the siren to 15 in the carvariations.meta file? 

    Just need to do that for every vehicle correct?

     

    oh, and I guess add flags, like stated above, never done that before, just add that line in the vehicle.meta and you are good to go?

    I downloaded everything where it needed to be but the light bar is still grey how do I fix this?

    Awsome Pack. But Sheriff and Police3 have the white rotators bugged values are set to 15 How can i fix this?

    Might be an issue with texture so overwriting the files. Make sure you don’t have have DLCs that might overwrite them

    Lewispryor1 being nice and helpful is pretty hard I see and we are all happy that it works for you. Vague replies about how people are installing things wrong and not really being descriptive about it really makes me question the reason to respond in the first place.

     

    Anywho for those of you that don't enjoy being called an idiot and are "installing it wrong"  I can help you. Be sure to check the sirensettings in the MPLUXE2 dlc folder instead of mpchristmas2. This worked for me and it is NOT stated in the readme file. You may be able to replace the whole file but I didn't trust it enough. The tint issue is there but as I change out vehicle packs often I can't be bothered to track down that particular file.

    Hi Jeff. I didn’t actually even think of using MPLUXE2 when I designed the carvariations file, although logically it would make sense. Thanks for the heads up on that, I might have to start using a later DLC than MPCHRISTMAS2 if this is what people are finding for when I build rotary light bar packs.

     

    Also, the tint issue sounds like a vehicles.meta issue, I might’ve missed out a slot when setting up the files. However, it could be a DLC over-writing it. I’ll take a look into it 🙂

    I’d suggest sticking all the vehicle so on the latest patchday (patchday18ng I think), that should solve your issues 🙂

    No problem man I love the pack, It's not always fun going through the dlcpacks and sometimes I find other peoples are different. It took me an hour but I got it working and it's worth it!

    Its quite subjective I agree. But I assumed (quite wrongly) MPCHRISTMAS2 would be a solve all. I’m going to spend some time looking for the best DLC for sorting out sirens. 

     

    Also, which vehicle was the window tint issue on so I can try and fix that?

    Pack looks great!  I only have one issue...  With the vector lightbar, the red and blues work just fine, it is the white lights in the vector that don't work right...  I followed what Jeff said above, and like I said, the red and blues work fine.  On the other hand, the white lights don't rotate, and when they do flash, they only flash backwards and they have a weird block-like look to them...  I wonder if this is just an ELS issue?   It is happening with all the cars in the pack...  I included pictures to show what I am talking about...

    Granted, I had this pack installed in my old game before the mod folder corrupted, but I'm positive I installed the carvariations to mpchristmas2.  In fact, when I replace my default slots for your rotor cars, the carvariations are placed in mpchristmas2.  I'm not sure why it didn't work for Jeff.  Maybe the mod just hates him. Kappa

    If neither mpchristmas2 nor mpluxe2 work for the white rotator lights, try putting the carvariations.meta file under mpvalentinesday2. That's what worked for me.

    Hey there, I don't seem to having troubles with the light bar, but those are the only lights that are working. Would anyone have any ideas on how to fix that? 

     

    Edit: Oh and I guess I fucked up the lights on all my other vehicles somehow. Not sure what I did.
