Connecticut State Police CVPI Texture 1.0.0

   (5 reviews)

2 Screenshots

I couldn't find a correct CT State Police Skin, so I made my own.  This features the correct (to me) shade of grey and the black pieces on the trunk between the taillights.  Pretty basic skin, but the only correct one on this site to-date!

Please note that this texture works on multiple CVPIs (by POLICESCO, Bxbugs123, Black Jesus, etc).

I only created the texture, please do not reupload this file anywhere without my permission

Installation:

1. Download CVPI Model by POLICESCO (http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9268-lspd-cvpi-4k/)
2. Use OpenIV and go to: (Mods)/x64e/levels/gta5/vehicle.rpf/police.ytd (or wherever you installed it)
3. Set OpenIV to Edit Mode
4. Open police.ytd
5. Replace cvpi_sign_1 texture (delete others if wanted ex: cvpi_sign_2, cvpi_sign_3, etc)
6. Save and enjoy!

Vehicle used:

-Iggy Fresh

It's not simplicity, it's simple simple. As in bad. The font choice is garbage and the livery looks horrid. A simple livery that still looks good would be something like this. Nothing more than a panda, some text and a star but it looks professional and clean.

As for departments in Georgia, I like the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office design.

Meh, I can see your point about fonts. Personally, I think the car itself, as well as the installed equipment plays a huge role in how a livery will go with it. Some things look "right" with each other. I believe that Georgia's simplicity is complemented by the contrast of having a fuckload of lights, and in some cases, complemented very well. Others, not so much.

Well, if simplicity is "horrible" to you, what is good in your eyes?

Not in the case of the majority of those departments. Absolutely horrible liveries that make new skinners look good, especially that "FAIRBURN POLICE" one. Ew.

It's for commonality. Particularly, the HEAT units are required to share an identical livery, no matter the agency. Most Georgia sheriffs have the design that Bxbugs loves to use on every single one of his cars. Sometimes, simplicity is better than a busy design.

Note that I said "most", and that Explorer is hideous with that livery. Here a few examples from different departments. See what I mean? Real basic horrible liveries.

Not both, it'll work on Bxbugs and many others listed in the description.

POLICESCO's and Black Jesus' used the same template as F5544's as I know

Not GSP, but Georgia departments in general. Most seem to just be some ugly oversized text on the side of the car. No logos, badges, stripes or anything. Just text.

Are you sure this one can work on both F5544's and Bxbug's CVPI? They have different license plate location.

And I thought Georgia had shitty cheap liveries. This takes the cake for the cheapest livery I have ever seen from a US police department.

Yep!  It's basically an unmarked police car.  But as others have stated, they do get to keep the cars off duty which I think is awesome.

Regarding the trainer and a license plate mod, that wouldn't be 100% accurate.  Connecticut CVPIs have the black pieces on the trunk between taillights.  You would miss that part if you just used a trainer to color the vehicle grey.  But I agree, this is a very basic texture indeed.

Who cares if you don't like the car, Connecticut troopers have some of the best benefits in the country. It's not just a take home car, it's a personal car. You can literally use it for whatever you want (obviously not illegal things) and you can get gas (for free) at any state police station in the state. They also have been voted the best uniform in the country three times. Definitely outweighs the simplicity of the car. Thanks for making the skin but what I think would probably be the most accurate is just install a Connecticut license plate from that 50 states mod, and then create your own car color in the trainer.

The livery is like this because Connecticut issues take-home POVs. The lightbars can be removed magnetically from the roof and stuck in the trunk for when the trooper is off duty, or wanting to use a slicktop unmarked variant of their vehicle. Very cool, actually. Note the presence of both exterior and interior full lighting equipment.
