[ELS] 2016 BCSO FPIU 1.4

Optional pushbar and wraparound
   (15 reviews)

9 Screenshots

Features

- Full 3-stage lighting with traffic advisor, take-down and cruise modes.

- Two lighting options - default with rear red/blue and a California style with added rear amber flashing at stage 3.

- Three variations including no pushbar, pushbar only, and pushbar with a fender wrap.

- There will be lights integrated in the pushbar if it is spawned; otherwise the lights will be inside of the factory cut-out of the interceptor grill.

- Breaking glass, working dials, pushbar collision, wobble antenna and bullet resistant windshield.

- The coronas are setup correctly so they help in env lighting and make the lights look better from afar, especially at night.

- Template included.

PLEASE NOTE that this is a ELS/non-ELS hybrid vehicle which means it requires custom carcols/carvariations for the lights to work properly. For ease of installation I've provided a DLC pack for the policeold3 addon slot. This setup is required in order to have correct environmental lighting and the designed light patterns.

More about the model

- This model uses a hybrid of ELS and non-ELS lights so it can have more realistic patterns while also having the mirror and hatch lights move with the doors. This does mean however it will require a custom carcols to work correctly. For the ease of installation I've provided it as an add-on/DLC to policeold3 slot.

- It is possible to manually replace the files and/or replace an existing vehicle. Advisable for experienced players only.

- (For non-CA version only) I used the ELS "CHP" lighting group for SECL lights (i.e. the traffic advisor) so the player can cycle between left, right and center-out modes very quickly. If preferred, you may change the VCF to use "TRAF" lighting group instead for more TA patterns.

- It is possible to prevent any of the pushbar variations from spawning by editing vehicles.meta. Instructions are included in the download.

- Four additional bonus liveries included (see the last screenshot). Please note that they need to be placed into the ytd file.

- The BCSO livery is based on Orange County, CA. The vehicle setup is fictional but draws inspiration from SFPD.

Acknowledgements

- See Credits tab for general credits.

- Black Jesus for the BCSO door decal in the livery.

- Special thanks to PNWParksFan for his Live Lights plugin which makes customizing and debugging siren settings much easier.

What's Next

Kane is currently working on an update of the base model, thus I am holding off updating this vehicle until said update drops.

The next version will feature a partition, brand new equipments, more realistic light patterns and a lot of bug fixes.

- You MAY NOT upload this mod to other websites or redistribute via other channels without my permission.

- You MAY NOT, in any circumstances, use this model for your financial gain in any way, shape or form.

I've finally got around to look into the partition and I should be able to add one for the next update. Question for you: Would you prefer it to spawn all the time, or only as an extra?

Hmmm! Nice of you that you ask me that 🙂 Would it be possible to do both? Replace = Sheriff2 and Addon would use different agencies like SAHP because of the small California-style lighting 🙂

Well, since you suggested it, and I figured that your opinion would be as valid as anyone’s. 😄

And yeah replace and add on versions will share the same range of options.

What I’ve not decided yet is if it’s better to have the partition be there all the time, or associate it with an extra so it spawns optionally (e.g. only spawns along with the pushbar), to add some varieties.

That sounds good 🙂

Hmm ... I think you have to decide. Of course, everyone and I would appreciate that the extras can be changed. But does it cost more work?

As I said, you decide in the end because it is your vehicle.

Splendid work! Just curious, would you consider adding the iconic steady burn red for the California setup?

No kidding, but for me it's the best model you can get for LSPDFR. When the update comes, I'll make some nice screens and say exactly what I like best and what others can't do better;) I'm not a modder, but I have the right to judge things.

Thanks! If you want steady burn you can change the ELS WRNL light pattern to 1. I'll include an ELS config for this in the next update.

Such a great job, congrats!! I'm in love with it. It would be awesome if you could do a LAPD version or a CHP, anyways, as i said, great job 10/10

hey, this car has been a blessing from the heavens above, it is so amazing having the realistic reflective corals with the non els and plus the funtions of els, I was just wondering if there is any chance that the antenna can become extras or be removes, I love the work on them but i would love without too haha, keep up the fantastic work!

Glad you enjoyed it! I can't make them all optional because there are only two extra slots and they are already used by the pushbars. Though, I do have a different antenna setup in mind for the 2.0 version of this vehicle. The plan right now is to have less to begin with, and a set of LoJack antennas as extra equipment.

I have a question, is it possible to allow the rear lights (window, tailights)  and rambar lights to stay active for light stage 2?

@KLE0

Hey.

How are ya? So I have an issue. For some reason, The push-bar lights are not functioning and the ions on the side mirror are dim. I even tried to increase the number for the lightning on the carols and the carve rations but it's not working, is that an issue from the files themselves or from Zmod?

Also, at night. I notice that there are lights in the back of the vehicle like a headlight shining off of the rear of the vehicle and the left tailight does not flash like the right tailight.
