Brute Pony - police transport 1.10

Apparently there's demand for an alternate transport model, so here's Pony. 
Mapped and templated, completely lore-friendly and unlocked as always. 

 

Starting with v1.10, files needed for texture editing are separated to reduce the download times of the vehicle files as the .psd is quite sizeable.
I've also made three variants available for the Pony, all of which are separate downloads:

  1. Brute Pony with an LED lightbar configuration (pony3)
  2. Brute Pony Unmarked/Slicktop - with LED lights (pony4)
  3. Brute Pony with a rotator lightbar configuration (policet replacement)

Click "Download this file" and then make your choice. Or get any combination of the vehicles, they don't overlap in the files.

All three have multiple livery support, use the files provided in the (Optional) download to customize your van.

What's New in Version 1.10

Released

25 Nov:  

NEW! Added a policet replacement version with a rotator lightbar and no LEDs as a separate download. Otherwise identical.

 

24 Nov:

Fix: The driver will now be properly positioned - hands, butt, everything! 

Change: The optional texture and mapping resources are now a separate download to reduce download size.

NEW! An unmarked Pony has been added as a separate download. The following changes concern that model (pony4) alone.

- Fully templated, doubles as a slicktop!

- 360-degree LED coverage to make sure even the blindest of drivers make way
- The bullbar is now an extra

- Optional Weazel News disguise paintjob included

Well you got to remember. Older cars came with older lightbars. Most older lightbars were bulkier and larger in size.

Someone specifically asked for the LED lightbar, otherwise I would've used the rotator one. I'll consider adding it in a future update.

If you mean parking lights, then I have now added a separate file that changes it. If you meant flashing emergency lights then that would require carcols editting which can be rather messy.

Do you use a plugin for transport units, such as the Arrest Manager? Such plugins usually let you customize which vehicles are used for prisoner transport.

Alternatively, you can rename the vehicle to POLICET, for this you'll need to rename all the vehicle files, the <modelName> and <txdName> values in vehicles.meta lines (located at the top) and the <modelName> in the carvariations line (also located at the top). This is especially important because the lightbar used by this vehicle doesn't support the original sirensetting used for the police transport van. Hope you'll get it working.

Hey!  Thanks to you and @Quakex64, I did rename it to POLICET and it spawns and works.  The only issue is that the lights on top are still the rotators, and the lights on the back doors don't light up..  Do you know where the carvar is for POLICET so I can change the light setting??

The carvariations for policet are encrypted and inaccessible, so as I said, you need to use the ones I provided to overwrite them.

I wasn't aware of that.  Where should I put the carvar?  Would mpchristmas2 work?  (That's where all of my other standalone carvars are)

It should work, if you don't have any mods that overwrite policet files. I also suggest adding the vehicles meta files though.

Did you install it any differently than in the readme, such as renaming the vehicle? If so, make sure the <modelName> and <txdName> values in carvariations and vehicles meta files match the name of the vehicle files.

Also, did you install the whole vehicle under the same DLC pack? It might not work if you install the vehicle files into a separate dlcpack from the data files.

I think I am using the x64e file where the ytd/ytf files installed. I renamed and pasted all of your settings as "policet" and I believe the location is update/dlc/mpchristmas2. Any suggestions?

Copy the ytd and yft files to the corresponding archive under mpchristmas2 and see if that works.

Tried. Same result. Not working. I also had this issue with one of the GMC Savanna models (there's two of them, as far as I remember). Basically, the siren turns on and off, the taillights wig-wag and I can even clearly see the reflection of the lightbar on the vehicle itself and surrounding but coronas don't come up. And neither do the strobes that you mounted all over the model.

So you have more van models installed? What are they named and which DLC are they in? The different models may overwrite each other. 

If you can't figure out how to use it as policet I suggest you don't rename it from pony3. If the car spawns but the lights don't work then you've set up the carvariations wrong.
