Automatic Roadblocks

Automatic Roadblocks allows the dispatching of roadblocks during a pursuit based on a selected pursuit level.

When roadblocks are deployed, custom scanner audio is played as well as for the indication that the pursuit level is automatically increased.

Next to automatic roadblocks, it allows you to place configurable manual roadblocks and traffic redirections.

Leave improvements, issues or feature requests in the comments.

Audio levels have been decreased as of version 0.8.0, please update all files provided in this plugin under "lspdfr/audio".

Planned Features

Requirements

  • LSPDFR 0.4.9.0+
  • RageNativeUI 1.9.0.0+ (provided in ZIP)

Automatic roadblocks

Automatic roadblocks are deployed automatically or requested by the player during a pursuit.

Each roadblock is dynamically created based on the road location where it is deployed (no prefabs are used).

Each roadblock level has a unique setup and variation which makes it more difficult to pass the higher the level is.

Evening/night - Lights

Lights will be automatically placed within the roadblock during the evening/night.

This option can be disabled in the config file.

Automatic roadblock level increases

The levels of the roadblock are automatically increased based on the following conditions:

Spoiler
  • The duration of the pursuit
  • The total number of roadblocks deployed for the pursuit
  • If the suspects are shooting
  • Number of cops killed by the suspects

Roadblock levels

The roadblock levels are now fully customisable to your liking.
For more info, see the plugins/LSPDFR/Automatic Roadblocks/data/roadblocks.xml

Manual placement

Deploy a custom configured roadblock (outside of pursuits) through the in-game menu.

The manual placement option allows different variants of barriers, lights and vehicles.

Redirect traffic

Create a configurable traffic redirection for the current lane.

This will not close the road but redirect traffic to the next lane or around the location.

Close road

Close the current road for any traffic with roadblocks along the road or close the nearby intersection.

This feature will be expanded in the future with additional scenery items.

Awesome pack, love the audio from NFS, which sounds 1000% better when in pursuits. Roadblocks also deploy much nicer than UB. Close Road via Grammar Police doesn't work, hopefully there's a fix/update for that in the future!

works like a charm but the issue im having is the traffic redirection is not working as intended (Cars going through the cones and not merging into another lane). Works good so far but the Traffic Redirection just need some improvements. Overall a must have mod.

I am Japanese. Please excuse my bad English.

    I've always loved this plugin.
However, since updates are slow to come and this plugin has existed for a long time, I thought that it would not be updated in the future.
However, I was surprised to see that this plugin has been updated.
I would be happy if you could support Japanese someday.
I will continue to use this plugin!
Can you "block" my plugin love feelings?

I really like this script, very handy to have the roadblocks spawn automatically during a pursuit, as it's one less thing to worry about. I agree with an earlier review WRT the level of the audio tracks that have been added. They are pretty loud, especially if you're wearing headphones. If the audio level could be decreased, that would be awesome! Otherwise, well done!

in general, everything is fine. The only disadvantage is when the road block is blocked, the car in the chase disappears

Works perfectly. the ONLY things is, the sound of the voice is way too loud but can be fix in a update so it won't affect the review itself. I Highly recommend !!!!

I must say this is a must to have if you're going to play... goes great with STP and Radio Realism, feels like I'm in a real purist and calling for backup to do roadblocks and spike strips... Thank you for this plugin!! I would love to see maybe in the future work having the Helicopter being flown over head maybe...

Must have for roleplay & immersion!

I generally don't use roadblocks in LSPDFR, but I saw the other features to manually create your own roadblocks while stationary, closing shoulders and redirecting of traffic. I can't express how fantastic this mod is. I can block lanes and direct the questionable AI around my MVAs on the highway, and block roads during my crime scenes. The ability to call the roadblock in and change how tough it is with the levels is extraordinary.

Plenty of features and options for you to work with.

    I highly recommend to all.

The only thing I would suggest that would make this even better is being able to select what type of units spawn in the roadblocks in an editable xml file as this is set to use the default police, sheriff, police2 slots and I use add-on vehicles. Other then that, I have no complaints really.

    · For old version 0.1.1

Definitely looking forward to try this out! I've waited so long for something like this that is compatible with the current version of LSPDFR.  One suggestion I have is, you could add more audios from NFS for roadblock was either effective or ineffective.

    Response from the author:

    Hi

    Thanks for the suggestion.

As it was a really good one, I've added it to the recent patch of 0.1.1 (which includes even more audio feedback than bypass/hit).
