SimpleHUD is script modification for your game displaying player's current location, as well as a compass and the time.

Requirements

 

To install this script, place the provided .asi and .ini files inside your main Grand Theft Auto V game directory.

 

Drive where GTA V is installed → Programs (x86) / SteamLibrary → Steam → steamapps → common → Grand Theft Auto V

    •  Locations (GWC and Golfing Society, Cayo Perico, North Yankton) are no longer labeled as “Unknown County.”
    •  Duplicate street and crossing road names are prevented from displaying (e.g., "Olympic Fwy / Olympic Fwy").

    • Redesigned the postal map for a more accurate and modern look.
    • Introduced a proximity-based "Near" prefix system for better location awareness on the HUD.

- Introduction of aopMap.json, located in SimpleHUD/data/maps, made by Armouredivision.

- Optimized Default Position: Thanks to Armouredivision, this update elegantly resolves overlapping subtitles during interactions with pedestrians.
- Streamlined SimpleHUD Folder: Give your SimpleHUD a fresh start by clearing out the old folder and seamlessly replacing it with the new one.
- Enhanced Customization: Unleash your creativity with the flexibility to add/remove state routes and completely transform the county map, including Metro Los Santos and Los Santos County.
- Revamped Download Folder: Introducing a sleek Addons Folder for effortless management.
- Postal Map Integration: Now included in the primary build for added convenience.
- Speed Limit Updates: Advisory signs are now seamlessly incorporated with full customization options. Still a work in progress, but safe for use.
- New [LIMIT] INI Values:
  - DisplayOnlyOnChange
  - ChangeDisplayTime (Applies solely to the actual speed limit, not advisory signs. Let us know if you want this feature.)

- New [NOTIFICATIONS] Section: Inside INI for better management.

 Texture Tweaks:
- Two New Versions of Textures, with the folder renamed to props & textures. Base Version targets SimpleHUD's font system, while the other one replaces most in-game fonts.
- Removed Advanced category, now exclusively for developers.

 

Advanced Functionality:
- New Speed Limit Overwrite Functionality: Set up specific areas with override speeds, like Panorama Drive, normally at 50 but reduced to 35 on dirt roads.

 

Bug Fixes and Improvements:
- FIXED: Centered the 10-speed limit & 5-speed limit, resolving the off-centered issue.
- Various prop retextures around the map.

 

Note: For an optimal experience, follow the provided instructions to update your SimpleHUD folder.

    The compass and streets are not displayed. Speed limits are displayed. What's the problem?Could contain: text, land vehicle, vehicle, outdoor, wheel, tire, sky, building, car, road, ground, automotive design, vehicle registration plate, auto part, luxury vehicle, street, city

    Its all there when I start LSPDFR up but after some time it all disappears. Can I get some help?

    Honestly when this happens to me i just drop my back up copy of my scripts folder into my directory and click replace usually fixes mine and i can't explain why but it does. I would copy scripts folder paste to desktop and then drag back into directory and replace, give it a go and let us know if it worked.

    I appreciate the help.  I finally got it fixed.  The Font Textures (font_lib_efigs_pc.gfx) didn't install correctly via the OIV.  I just manually installed them.  ALL GOOD NOW!!!!

    This mod is very unstable. Some features are missing, nothing showed up at first, had to reenable already enabled options.
    Some options only have the "Enable" button but seems like it does nothing.
    I installed all required files, if i did something wrong the menu wouldn't work.

    Hi, I followed the install instructions and installed LemonUI SDN3, but I just get "Aborted script SimpleHud.main" when I launch the game and the menu doesn't open - help please?

    Time, road/street name, cardinal direction doesn't show up, only speed limit, but when you change the settings like scale and position - it works. Could you please add possibility to change county position and scale in the game by menu, how it was before, please 🙏

    P.S Inform people how to fix that problem, this is a long-standing problem with your script, maybe you can fix that, it would be very great.

    So this mod still work with 3179 version? And what ScriptHookDotNet version? stable or nightly one?

    I don't know about stable or nightly version, i just use ScriptHookDotNet v3.6.0 and yes, this script works with 3179 version of GTA 5, but if your scripts doesn't work, the problem in NVE, It was with me, but fortunately I found a solution in youtube and if simplehud stuff doesn't show up, just do what I wrote in my previous comment.

    My GTA is not using NVE, only VisualV and it still not worked, do you know how to install it in order?

    Did this newest update break this mod? I had it working before with the nightly build but now its crashing on startup. 

     

    Apologies as I did not have the latest Community Script Hook update.

    Is anybody else having MAJOR issues with SimpleHUD on the new GTA update? I cannot get my game to load with it at all, either stable or nightly builds. Absolutely a massive bummer, I consider SimpleHUD a MAJOR essential in LSPD:FR in general.

    SimpleHUD requires Nightly if your on the latest game version i heard
