Deadly Weapons is a plugin for LSPDFR to add a more dangerous feel to guns. GTA makes people sponges for gameplay, but LSPDFR aims for a more realistic approach.

 

With deadly weapons I increase damage taken by weapons for both the player and AI. Damage varies between limbs and whether the ped is wearing armor or not. It also introduces new auto panic button behavior for when the player fires their weapons.

Changes:

  • Updated PyroCommon to use a different default keybind (F9), and an option to disable the menu entirely. Change the key or disable it, leave me alone.
  • Cleaned up excessive game fibers, think I only use 1 or 2 now. Very small performance gain.
  • Added a feature to automatically create missing DW configs. If you mess them up it will still crash, this is a skill issue and I cannot fix that.

 

Config:

  • Config can now be adjusted via my new plugin manager which you access with 'F9' by default.

    Since the last update, I can't see Nobody run away from traffic stop, as It happened before, even if with some bugs. Before, when I stopped drivers, I could see or the notification of the Weapon possession or he ran away. Now I see only Weapon notification

    Great mod, just wanted to point out I find myself being randomly 1 shot with max health and armor on just my arm peeking for less than a second from cover. Maybe you could make peds less accurate, or maybe shots could be less lethal on arms idk. I really like the mod and will probably still use it while cowering behind my police lol.

    You can change ped accuracy in the ini file. There is a very small chance where you can die instantly.

    Hi, the plugin is very good, i love it. But sometimes when i get call of heavy armored gunman he shots me once and 1/5th of armor goes down only. Also, could i know when will the EMS save will worK? TIA

    I added a workaround to sEbi3's gunman callout, so this pack doesn't kill him instantly. That's just one of the issues I had to include to make that callout work correctly. As for EMS, I'll get to it when I get to it, no ETA.

    Keep updating and working on this!. You should work with SH42913 and combine his " GSW " mod with your own. He is no longer developing his Gun Shot Wound Mod and it's open source!. If you updated his work and combined it with your own you would have the premier " Hardcore " or " Realism " mod for GTA V / LSPDFR!.

    Is there any chance to change damage peds get when shot cuz as we can often see from bodycam footage 1 shot rarely does the job

    I found something that's somewhat game braking.

     

    Almost in every panic button callout I get insta-killed by a shot in the head 

     

    Is this a "glitch/bug" or am I doing something wrong ?

     

    Either way, feel free to anwser my questinon or even correct me is it's indeed my fault

    This would be great if it didn't auto-call backup whenever you fire. Calling backup is an immersive part of the game, even if that's just a panic button press, and it isn't fun that this mod takes that away from the player.

    Check the configuration file. (DeadlyWeapons.ini) You can disable it there.

    Would it be possible to have an option in the config to make you fall over after every shot taken instead of just sometimes?

    If you join my discord I can just whip up a quick version that always does that. I don't think many people want that so I can make it just for you.

    Does this account for body armor, and is it locational with body armor too by chance?. Also is there a possibility maybe down the line with an update where we can choose from a few different damage models?.

    It does have different simulation for body armor, and there is 2 body parts that act different with or without armor regardless.

    Head will do more damage, customizable in the ini file. Default it takes 90 health away.
    Right arm / hand will result in a ped dropping their weapon plus the default damage of being shot.
