Follow the instructions in the README and verify your settings in the .ini file.

 

About

Rich's Police Enhancements is a suite of quality of life features.  All features are able to be enabled/disabled in the .ini file, so use (or don't) any feature you want.

 

Included Features

  •     Ambient Backup:  When a pursuit is initiated, the player will be prompted to accept or decline ambient backup during their incident by pressing Y or N.
  •     Automatic Pursuit Updates: You will be periodically notified (configurable in the .ini) of suspect location, direction of travel, speed, and traffic conditions for each suspect in a pursuit.  Updates may be provided via notification, dispatch audio, or both (configurable in the .ini)
  •     AI Siren Cycling:  Nearby police AI will attempt to cycle through their sirens instead of being stuck on the same tone forever
  •     Better TVI/PIT Maneuver:  When you or another unit spin out a suspect vehicle during a pursuit, there's a chance the vehicle will become disabled
  •     Silent Backup:  During a traffic stop, callout, or pursuit, AI backup will turn their lights/sirens off when they are near you if your lights/siren are off (for ELS, stage 1/2 are considered off)  When you turn your lights/siren on (for ELS, stage 3), the AI will turn their lights/siren back on.
  •     Priority Radio Traffic:  By using either PoliceSmartRadio, VocalDispatch, or Grammar Police, you may request priority radio traffic at any time.  This will play a tone every X seconds (configurable in the .ini).  You may also enable this feature to automatically play when a pursuit is initiated, or a panic command is given to Grammar Police.  This feature doesn't affect gameplay in any way, it is simply for immersion and roleplay.
  •     Suspect Stamina:  Suspects will run slower over time and have a chance to trip if they run for too long.

    yes absolutely thank you and i mean it but still why just release something free then stop updating it, im not sure really what you have to do to make plugins work with new updates but i cant imagine its that difficult

    Hi! First of all "Great mod! Thank you for making this."

    Next, I noticed a bit of problem with the street name audio. I am using the STREETS folder as mentioned here, and it did work perfectly at first.

     

    But then I decided to edit some of the (completely unrelated) vanilla audio from the RESIDENT.rpf package and naturally kept that in the mods folder. Ever since, the STREET audio stopped working - something like "Suspect last seen heading east on _____" 

    Just to be sure, I disabled the mods folder thing, and it worked again. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong (seemingly not).. any help so I could get both to work?

    I personally havent been able to use this plugin since the update... not sure whats going on, with it installed i keep crashing after like 10 mins of patrol, take the plugin out and everything flows fine.

    "Updating for 0.4.9" doesn't really mean anything.  This is the only report I've gotten about this issue, so without being able to replicate it with specific instructions, there's nothing I can fix.

    After playing some minutes the y button for accepting callouts and performing traffic stops with shift just stop working. It only appears when i have your plugin installed. Could you make an update for 0.4.9? Maybe this would fix it.

    i did but its still a bug with the feature itself, if you can, make it so this feature only applys to the backup unit

    the Automatic Pursuit Update doesn't say the location or street name that the suspect is on, is it normal or do i miss something?

    That's strange. I wonder what's causing it then. Whatever it is, it's making pursuits *very* difficult to actually complete. 

    Anyways, I'll keep testing different plugins to try and figure it out.

    My plugin does not use Ultimate Backup.  The backup unit that arrives is not an Ultimate Backup unit.  You should not expect it to act like an Ultimate Backup unit.  The intent is the player would convert it to an Ultimate Backup partner by using the UB menu.  I will admit, I need to add more logic for how they should act upon arrival.

     

    For support issues, I encourage you to follow the directions in the Support section of the file description.

    I too have had this issue, along with when I have default ambient traffic stop backup on, the Ultimate Backup mod bugs out and when backup arrives on scene, the officer freezes and doesn't move when they get out. Not to mention the ambient backup in this mod acts like you're not there as well and will ram into you or run you over.

    I definitely like this mod! But I wanted to report a possible compatibility issue and see if anyone else has experienced this (or if maybe I screwed up):

     

    Since I installed this, even after disabling the automatic ambient backup in the .ini, whenever I call for backup on a traffic stop using Ultimate Backup (BejoIjo), whenever that backup unit arrives, the stopped car drives off as if the traffic stop had been cancelled. I'm wondering if it is just me experiencing this.     sometimes they do that for me to and i didnt reported it cause for me it what just a case of "dumb ai" you know.
