SuperEvents is a plugin for LSPDFR to add more ambient events. Currently adds 8 new events with plans for many more!

Not only that, it has a fully fledged API that allows people to add their own events, just as easy as making a callout pack! (https://github.com/SuperPyroManiac/ExampleEvents)

 

With SuperEvents I aim to add more unique ambient events to LSPDFR with a uniform feel. I add both realistic and crazy new ones that will be played randomly. You are also able to disable and enable any features you choose. I recommend pairing this plugin with my other plugin Deadly Weapons and SuperCallouts to completely change how the game feels.

Changes:

  • Fixed many many bugs from the auto report system. I did not keep track of how many, but things should work better.
  • Adjusted a situation where somehow someone could have a negative number of events (don't ask me how) causing a hard crash.
  • Updated PyroCommon to use a different default keybind (F9), and an option to disable the menu entirely. Change the key or disable it, leave me alone.

 

Config:

  • Config can now be adjusted via my new plugin manager which you access with 'K' by default.

 

Known Bugs:

  • When an issue is detected, the event is just ended. I plan to make it handle it case by case, but there is a LOT to go through. Eventually I plan to remake all the events.

    It will be a step in the right direction,but only STP backup will intervene if called on the scene. I think it will be better to be able to report that sort of crime by holding B so every other units in the area to respond and assist. It will be a lot realistically that way.

    Thank you for the updates to Super callouts and Events. Did you remove a few things, it seems some are missing from the new INIs? Should we have SuperEvents.DLL and SuperEveents2.DLL ? I just deleted the old one bc that is what your readme says to do.

    Yeah delete the old one, and correct not all of the events are finished for the rewrite but I figured this way I could get a working version out there. I will update the description now.

    I know you changed every events but when I investigating car accident I press Y and I can't speak to the suspect. It say it's not implemented yet. So this feature is not yet ready?

    Yeah currently the dialogue for that is not implemented yet.

    Super Events 2 was not fully ready but due to all the errors people got with the old version I figured it would be best to upload this version so that at least it's stable.

    Hello I post here a little thought that I have on this plugin. I'm seriously struggling with how the plugin works and I would have preferred a system like Traffic Policier which independently launches ambient events but which lets the player do what he wants without having to follow pre-made dialogs or so with integrated menus, there with SuperEvents we feel that an event is creating and I do not find it very realistic, and I also have the impression of having FPS losses but as soon as at the top there is mark "events end" everything works properly.. I think the plugins needs even more improvement. I know it's not a "final" version, but for now, I'm removing it from my Mods. In the old version that I played two days ago an ambient event had appeared next to me with a broken vehicle and two guys raising their arms waiting like two morons.
    Even today while playing I had a crash and I directly thought about your plugin since at the same time a menu of superevents was displayed. Anyway, that's my thought and my little criticism, through that I don't want to be negative or anything else just an opinion, it's the only one of your plugins that I had trouble playing, I really like Super callouts and Deadly weapons.     So as for the crash, that was caused by another plugin. SuperEvents had an error so it forcefully ended the event without issue.
    As for the crash, it came from:  at RichsPoliceEnhancements.PursuitUpdates

     

    Another thing I found interesting was the peds with their hands up, there isn't any events or scenarios where that happen here. In SuperEvents1 there was an event called "Suicidal Peds" that did that but I removed that in this one.

    For the FPS loss, I will look into it, but on my end it only takes away 1 ~ 2 FPS when an event is running. (Every plugin will have a little loss like that)

    As for the dialogue right now only the fight event has it, and you can roleplay it out if you want, as if you don't use the Y menu to speak to them, there wont be dialogue.

    From what I read seems like everything you didn't like about it was from the old version which I agree with, that's why I remade it and totally deleted the old one.
    Anyways I appreciate your feedback! I will look into the FPS issue you had but as far as everything else the crash was another plugin, the other issues were from an older version.

    Une autre chose que j'ai trouvée intéressante était les peds avec leurs mains levées, il n'y a aucun événement ou scénario où cela se produit ici. Dans SuperEvents1, il y avait un événement appelé "Suicidal Peds" qui a fait cela, mais j'ai supprimé cela dans celui-ci.

    Pour la perte de FPS, je vais l'examiner, mais de mon côté, cela ne retire que 1 ~ 2 FPS lorsqu'un événement est en cours. (Chaque plugin aura une petite perte comme ça)

    Quant au dialogue en ce moment, seul l'événement de combat l'a, et vous pouvez le jouer si vous le souhaitez, comme si vous n'utilisez pas le menu Y pour leur parler, là ne sera pas un dialogue.

    D'après ce que j'ai lu, tout ce que vous n'aimiez pas provenait de l'ancienne version avec laquelle je suis d'accord, c'est pourquoi je l'ai refaite et j'ai totalement supprimé l'ancienne.
    Quoi qu'il en soit, j'apprécie vos commentaires! Je vais examiner le problème FPS que vous avez eu, mais pour autant que tout le reste, le crash était un autre plugin, les autres problèmes provenaient d'une ancienne version.

    Thank you very much for having analyzed my opinion, I will investigate from Rich's side the creator of "RichPoliceEnhancement" for the crash. I will easily retest SuperEvents a little later and give another opinion. Thank you.

    For me the game doesnt load anymore with this plugin. 

    I then have to start GtaV with the Playgta5.exe and then start RPH to make it work. But then I get a lot of crashes

    You can join my Discord and send the log. I suspect something else is causing the issues, considering this plugin loads 10 second after you go on duty in LSPDFR so it would not have anything to do with the game having issues loading.

    Regardless, we can help with whatever issues you have!

    There is not, and I do not intend to add it as it would require a lot of changes for something so trivial.

    Loved how much activity it adds to the world! 

    However, first time I experienced a crash near Paleto Bay... I wasn't even responding, nor refusing (force ending) the event, although the log shows "forcefully cleaned up", idk if that's relevant. Like, I was essentially free roaming when this happened. Attaching the log... maybe some help, please?

    Looks like this plugin by officerporci caused the crash. SuperEvents detected an error and force ended the callout without issue.

    Quick question, does anyone know if these events trigger while you are on callouts? Or as long as you're outside of callouts?

    They do not trigger when in a callout, pullover, and something else I can't remember.

    2 issues: MVA accident disappears when I get close, I get "events" for rats that don't seem to go away...they just keep respawning

    Like I have blips enabled and I'll randomly get yellow blips that, when I check it out, appear to be literal rats/rodents that are marked? I'm not even sure how this happens. Trust me if there's a way to mess something up, I'll probably find it lmao

    When that happens send me a log. You could also join my Discord and post in the "SuperPlugins" area at the bottom for quicker help.

     

    Though SuperEvents checks if a ped is human before starting. In the early days it used to give seagulls guns so I made sure it doesn't pickup animals. That's weird.
