On The Beat Callouts[WIP] 1.0.7.1

   (8 reviews)

4 Screenshots

On the beat Callouts is my first Callout Pack and my first GTA V Plugin is general. Designed around standard, low to medium severity Callouts.

My aim is to develop the Callout Pack to fill in the gaps where other packs do not, giving you a more rounded and realistic feel to the patrol you are on.

Whats included in the pack so far:

  • Local Stolen Vehicle - Pursuit of a stolen vehicle in your local area

  • Drunken Disorderly - Possible intoxication on the streets of San Andreas
    • You will find a variety of people out on the streets, drinking a bit too much
    • Once you have stopped the suspect and are close enough, press Y to interact with the subject
    • Highly recommend StopThePed for additional interactions with suspect

  • Graffiti Call - 4 possible options for this call, respond in the mirror park area
    • Has 4 different options depending on a dice roll, make sure you check all 4 out to mix up your patrol
    • Unfortunately only has one location but will be adding more locations when i can
    • Animated and props to add realism to the callout

  • Suspicious Vehicle - with three slight variations to the callout. Eagle eyed officers will hopefully tell the difference.

  • Laser Pointer discharged at aircraft - this call can play out in a few ways, subtle differences but adds variety.
    • Has its own RageNativeUI Menu. Press (Default Y) the Speech button to interact with the suspect
    • Added immersive subtitles to fill you in with the situation as you approach

Planned for development:

  • Integration with LSPDFR+ by @Albo1125
  • Add custom inventories using the new 0.4.2 API
  • Continue to add RageNativeUI menu's into callouts in my Menu Pass Patches
  • Public Disturbance - Possible suspect disturbing the peace at location
  • Suspicious Behavior around locations in San Andreas
  • Shop lifting from store / petrol station
  • Car Crash without incident
  • Various Anti Social Behavior incidents
  • Adding animations and other props to add realism to the callouts
  • More...

INSTALLATION:

Drag and drop files into your \Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR folder

Please Read the README included in the download

Don't forget to adjust your ini file when installing / upgrading this callout pack.

Recommended Mods:

For the best experience i recommend downloading and installing the following mods which help expand the experience of my callouts

  • Computer+ (ComputerPlus) by @PieRGud version 1.3.0.0 or higher //// For computer interactions with callout logging and information about callout progress
  • Traffic Policer by @Albo1125 version 6.15.0.0 or higher //// Helps with traffic related interactions
  • StopThePed by @BejoIjo version 4.6.5.0 or higher //// Allows more interactions with stopping and processing peds during the callouts.
    • Adds ability to call taxi's or other support vehicles for peds during callouts
    • Adds the ability to process alcohol levels and intoxication of peds during callout
  • Police SmartRadio by @Albo1125 version 1.2.0.0 or higher //// Adds a quick and easy way to select options for callouts and adds functionality from other mods to enhance my own

Dependencies:

  • RAGE Plugin Hook - Open Alpha - 0.64.1234.15464 or higher

    Correct

    if (roll <= 2)
                 {
                 do something
                 }
                 else if (roll <=4)
    			{
    			do something else
    			}
    ect... ect...

    That should work. I will test it again tomorrow and see what it gives me in the log.

    random integer method and an if statement

    When you load the callout it should log the dice roll with "OTB - Roll ?" you can see what its rolling.

    I will look at that. What is your min and max int?

    I haven't encountered a different variation for the Graffiti Callout, I started it around 10+ times. What are you using to make it random?

    Though i could have been a right numpty and released a version with it set to the chase situation....

    Thanks for the feedback, i shall try to implement those things but just for some information, you may know or you may not.

    • Graffiti callout does only have one location but it also has 4 options for the callout, depending on a dice roll it could be a different callout each time.
    • Suspicious vehicle callout i had not noticed it was cancelling the call, i have always responded to it without issue i will have a look and see, i am sure the vehicle has a 300f spawn range and a 20-30f distance check off the top of my head.
    • Drunken disorderly feedback is defiantly an oversight and will be addressed in the next update.

    Some things to improve:

    - The graffiti callout only starts a pursuit when in a certain distance to the ped, maybe add some more variety in this. It also has only 1 spawnpoint as I noticed.

    - The suspicious vehicle callout always disregards because the MinimumDistanceCheck is too high because the spawn point is really close.

    - The Drunken Disordedly callout doesn't end when the suspect is cuffed or dead, The end key (default from ini) also doesn't work, this is probably because it is set incorrect by default in the ini. There is no space between the = and the key

    Well glad to hear that its not an issue with my pack, though if you do find anything do let me know! Also thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it and keeps me motivated to do more! Hopefully the interaction menu will be out soon and that will really improve the callouts further. I hope haha!

    No problem. Definitely keep up the great work. I’m glad it wasn’t a conflict either. I ruled yours out yesterday only because it was thennewest  i installed. Apologies for the confusion.

    Well so I found out the issue actually. Ran a test today. Anytime a commercial vehicle is stopped interactions+ menu doesn’t work. Not sure why? I reinstalled your Callout Pack and it definitely doesn’t conflict with interactions plus. Weird. I’ll test it some more

    hmm, not sure about that one, i havent done any integration of interactions+ so i am unsure why it would be conflicting. The callouts use the Y key unless its changed in the ini file for the convasations so possible it could be that. I am busy making a interaction menu to talk with suspects and inspect vehicles but i will have a look and see if i can release a patch if i find out the issue.

    Any chance you could find some logs for me to look through to see if its flagging anything up?

    I will say. Very well thought out. 😉 Good callouts. I do however have a minor issue. So I went to perform a traffic stop and I use interactions+ to obtain license and insurance info. Well after i installed this Callout Pack I couldn’t use interactions+ especially on traffic stops. So I’m unsure if it has issues or what? It conflicted. After I removed your Callout Pack it went back to normal.

    I definitely like the callouts and look forward to more.

    Does this work with 0.3?

    At this point in time i really do not know, its only ever been built against 4.0-4.1 so i haven't tested it at all. You are welcome to have a check and report back. If you come up with some logs i can then see what i can do to make it backwards compatible.

    Actually, it is Drunk and Disorderly, not Drunken Disorderly.  A quick search online will show this.

    Alternatively, Public Intoxication.  🙂

    as stated previously, thank you and it will be changed in the next update which shouldn't be too long now.

    Looks good. By the way, the phrase is drunk and disorderly not "drunken disorderly."

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks man, just back from holiday, hoping to release an update in the near future, i have already added ini file customisability and am hoping to get either a new callout finished or some more little tweaks before i release it.

    I will be changing the callout to reflect your feedback, thank you.

    I think I got your graffiti callout - a ped called it in and then it said I could take a statement, end the call or investigate the area (or something).

    If this is yours, how do I take a statement?  I could find nothing in the area, so all I could do was end the callout.

    Keep up the good work.

    If you have PeterUCallouts you can take a statement using it. If not you can RP the situation currently as i have been struggling with animations currently which will be added later in development. Also a speech menu is planned to replace the scripted text so will be adding a statement collection into that.

    It would be nice to have a version on the name of the file or just one option to download. Right now there are OTBCallouts and OTB Callouts for download. OTB Callouts is the bigger file so I assume it's the last updated version.

    Correct, i was waiting for the file to be released through security checks before deleting the other one, in future i shall name the rar the version number to save confusion, thanks for the tip
