San Andreas Record Data Access System (SARDAS) 1.6.1

Hello LSPDFR community!

Today I'm releasing a new plugin/application. This is the San Andreas Record Data Access System - SARDAS for short. It's a Windows application you can run on a computer in real-life that will allow full access to ped/vehicle records, IN GAME!

This is a combination of a RagePluginHook/LSPDFR plugin, to access the ingame data, and a Windows application to run on any other computer that accesses the API provided by the plugin. You will be able to access any ped/vehicle records from any computer connected to the same network!

The SARDAS-unified zip contains the plugin, client app, and API documentation. There is also a seperate zip download for each individual part.

Please make sure to read the README - this plugin is somewhat more complicated than most, due to its nature (Networking is tough!). Please read the README!!!

This was the worst thing I ever downloaded off of LSPDFR and I'm pushing for it to be removed from the site for the following reasons: this is the only thing that I ever downloaded off of LSPDFR that actually hurt my computer, somehow it integrated itself into my computer so that now I'm having difficulty simply deleting/uninstalling it. Furthermore sloosecannon has it in 4 downloads and there's like 3 or 4 different readme's, just very vague and confusing. Sloosecannon gives multiple warnings that it is not safe and can compromise the security of your computer, furthermore it displays your computers IP address so if you make LSPDFR videos like I do you're not going to want the whole world to see your IP address I don't think, and it has all the trimmings and makings of spyware and hacker software, I'm not liking this at all from sloosecannon. If I don't have this thing out of my computer by sundown I'm reporting sloosecannon & this download he created to IC3 for investigation, and that's a promise.

    Response from the author:

    Oooohkay.

So, just to clear up a couple things here...

    1. I'm not sure what you mean by "integrated itself" into the computer. It's a single .exe application and a LSPDFR plugin - you just delete the folder they're in to remove it.

    2. Correct - I have 4 downloads (client, plugin, unified, and the documentation). For most users, the unified download is the one you want, but the other ones are provided for your convenience.

    3. I do not give warnings that it will compromise your computer's security. I do warn you not to store a real password in your .ini file. This would be the equivalent of putting that password in a text document on your desktop - it's not a safe thing to do. SARDAS will not compromise your computer's security at all.

    4. The IP address displayed on the client is your local IP address, which is irrelevant information, as it's only your IP address inside your home network.

4a. That will not even be visible on youtube streams, unless you're streaming another computer at the same time as playing LSPDFR.

    5. I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "trimmings and makings of spyware and hacker software".

    6. I can't help you remove something you downloaded from your own computer.

    7. I'd really rather you didn't embarrass yourself and waste investigators' time reporting a totally benign application.

    VERY cool idea and delivery.

I have two monitors, so I will 100% be using this on my second monitor, and if you have an extra laptop it's even better. Very nice. Although I do think the UI could be cleaned up a bit, like made more realistic to a real police computer but other than that it's very sexy. 5/5

    Response from the author:

Thanks! Yeah, it's still a really rough beta version - I plan to make the UI better in the future. This was more of a "Hey, it works!" type thing :)

If you have a spare laptop available like me, including your gaming computer, hit this up!

Even though it might be easier to just use the plate checker through the Police Radio or the LSPDFR default computer database, SARDAS adds more realism to it.
I've used it since it was announced as a testing/beta version, and been impressed and enjoyed it since the start. It's a really neat feature if you like realism.

It might look like a difficult process to set it all up, but honestly, it's not. If you don't know how to unblock ports in the firewall, Google is here for you.

Fantastic work, sloosecannon!  10000/10 :turned:
