About This File

https://albo1125.com

Modding DLC Pack V allows for a simplified installation process of peds, weapons, vehicles and meta file entries - both for addons and replacements.

After installing the Modding DLC Pack V OIV file, you can do the following, all from one central folder:

  • Install unlimited addon/replacement peds and addon peds.meta entries;
  • Install replacement weapons;
  • Install unlimited addon/replacement vehicles including support for vehicles.meta, carvariations.meta and handling.meta;
  • Add custom names to your (addon) vehicles;
  • Easily restore all of the above after a GTA 5 update.

Please ensure to carefully read the supplied README.pdf file for tutorials and guides on how to do all of the above. I have also done a video tutorial series (see above) showing how to perform all of the above properly.

Many thanks to @festivalmatt for his very many valuable contributions to Modding DLC Pack V.

Credits for the included gameconfig.xml file go to Dilapidated.

Please do not reupload or redistribute Modding DLC Pack V as a standalone file. If you would like to use Modding DLC Pack V as a base to release a pack of mods or similar, that’s fine - please include credit and a link back to this original Modding DLC Pack V ☺

    Welcome to something that has been in the making since I've gotten my hands on ELS, something that has taken more hours then you guys could understand. I've pulled out all the stops for this pack. I've taken all your guys' feedback on my screenshots, and I've done my best to destroy it in the realistic/quality/immersion department. I've done my best to simplify the installation of this file. For those of you who are looking for an add-on version of this pack, you're going to have to wait a littl

    Yes, there is a FBI, FBI2, Police, and Sheriff handling, but as you said, no Sheriff2 handling.

    I think FBI2 is a bad choice for your Utility's handling anyway.  Police3 or Gresley is a better choice for a V6 SUV or Sedan.

    Hmm. I'll switch it to police3 and see how it handles, thanks for the tip!

    You can also mix-and-match the handling AND audio hash files, although once again, I will normally match them up.

    In the pre-ELS days, if you used an audio file other than one of the emergency vehicle audio files, you wouldn't have a siren.  But now with ELS that doesn't matter, you'll still have the siren.  The only annoyances would be, for example, if you use Gresley or Granger audio, is that you wouldn't have the ambient police radio and you would either be listening to the GTAV radio stations or you would have to turn the radio off if you didn't want to listen.

    So try Police3 OR Gresley handling for the Interceptor Utility.  Probably choose Police3 for the audio hash file as well, it sounds like a V6 engine which would be accurate as well.

    Well, I need a serious help. I've tried a couple of models, and all of them works fine if they are as a replace but when I'm using them as an addon I can't signal for traffic stops. Any ideas?

    One of the three has his own vehicle.meta and that's still doesn't work...'

    Edit: I can press shift and it show me the vehicle as a red blink but when I'm switching to stage 3 it doesn't signals him to stop...

    Do I have to reinstall this dlc pack?

    I am in no way an expert in modding, only through tutorials on youtube. I installed this pack before GTA's 1365 update (on 1290), and it worked perfectly. Installed several police add-on cars and that was it. Once GTA updated to 1365, all I did was get a new gameconfig from F7YO, and the game worked fine without crashing; but now, all my add-on cars are unavailable. In OpenIV, I can see that modding dlc is still installed with my add-on car files still there, but using the trainer, they are unavailable. Slots are disabled.

    How do I fix this?

    I'm having trouble with this too, my game keeps crashing no matter what gameconfig file I seem to use, and it only happens when I restore the addon cars and replacement cars I had set up from before the update, anyone have any advice or a working gameconfig file? So far it seems to just be a problem with having too many cars.

    What would be the best way to utilize this mod to create multiple departments, i.e. RDE type gameplay? I know that you can create additional files utilizing this mod, but would I need to use something like the Jurisdiction Mod in conjunction with this?

    The concept of this is amazing but i have followed the instruction video and it crashes my game every time.  I removed it and it the game works perfectly again.

    Albo, i have one question. I want to replace jester using your pack but this car isn't existing in default vehicle.meta. Should i add jester lines to modding vehicle.meta?

    Yes, it does. Just follow Albo's installation instructions or video tutorial and you're good to go.

    Albo, Great job on the mod and tutorial. I do have one issue, when putting a second vehicle in it causes the game to crash when it populates game world. I took the second vehicle back out to no avail. I had to finally delete Modding DLC V out of my mods folder and then everything worked. I followed your tutorial video step by step. When the first car got put in on Police6 it worked. Then left game put the second car in as Police7 and that's when all of the problems started. Still following your video step by step as well when the second one got put in. Not sure if I can not run a Police7 or if something else happened. Any help would be great, not sure if maybe putting the meta files in did it as I am assuming you follow the steps again and again. Thanks for your time and great mods!! :thumbsup:

    I had this exact same issue and I cross checked all my metas and everything was good. I sadly just deleted it, but if anyone finds a solution, let me know! I loved DMPV!!

    Used this to install an add on car... the cars works great except one problem.. it has a custom siren setup via carcols.meta.. dropping this file into common results in the game not reading it. So where should it go?.. there are carcols files for every dlc almost.

    Okay, so you have to be extremely careful with the .xml format because one mistake and your F**cked.  Also, make sure that certain things  in the vehicles.meta line or capitalized like the vehicle handling part or else it won't work.  Listen to Albo's videos very carefully.  You can get it to work but trust me, you can over look something very easily because I have been there and done it.

    I replaced all the .metas because I was hell bent that was it. I tried and I compared my .metas to the templates and I still could not find a solution. I redownloaded MDPV and I still had the same issue. Do you know where it could be stemming from? I gave up and deleted it, but if I could get it working again, I would be ecstatic.

    Just a word of advice, If you are using:

    1. the latest ver. of gta v (1.0.1493.1)/ updated mod folder using OpenIV (green warning prompted when edit files)

    2. latest ver. of scripthook (which you should be using anyway otherwise it wouldn't run or crash)

    make sure you are using the latest gameconfig.xml for 1.0.1493.1 files here: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gameconfig-xml-dilapidated otherwise you might crash when adding new (add on) vehicles via the modding dlc pack/folder.

    The Gameconfig keeps causing my game to crash. I tried with a different gameconfig than is provided and I was able to add 1 add-on car but if I add more than 1 the game crashes as well. I'm probably being stupid so how do I fix this?

    @Albo1125 I notice that myself and quite a few others are having an issue where anymore than one add-on vehicle causes game crash. i'm not sure if it's related to an update or something. I haven't seen anything in these comments on how exactly to correct this, or what I have seen hasn't done the trick. I've tried redoing the meta and vehicleconfig files, updating the game version and rolling back, updating the gameconfig, but still can't figure it out. I haven't tried a fresh install as i'm saving that for last resort.

    @Albo1125 I am having the same issues as those above. I have, unlike some, done a complete re-install of GTAV with a fresh mods folder. Can we expect an update on this DLC pack anytime soon?

    Thanks!!

    I just started using this and it makes life so much easier!  I just wish it had carcol support.  Other than that, it's awesome!
