Modding DLC Pack V allows for a simplified installation process of peds, weapons, vehicles and meta file entries - both for addons and replacements.

 

After installing the Modding DLC Pack V OIV file, you can do the following, all from one central folder:

  • Install unlimited addon/replacement peds and addon peds.meta entries;
  • Install replacement weapons;
  • Install unlimited addon/replacement vehicles including support for vehicles.meta, carvariations.meta and handling.meta;
  • Add custom names to your (addon) vehicles;
  • Easily restore all of the above after a GTA 5 update.

 

Please ensure to carefully read the supplied README.pdf file for tutorials and guides on how to do all of the above. I have also done a video tutorial series (see above) showing how to perform all of the above properly.

1.2 - (Fixed corrupted OIV file). Gameconfig: GTA5 1.0.1290.1.

No changes in the DLC pack itself. If you already have this installed, you do not need to update.

    Hey Albo. I tried adding the vehicles as described in your video, but for some reason, my game crashes upon the the populating step. Everything was done step by step and double checked for any inconsistencies, but everything matched. Do you know what may be the cause and how can it be fixed? The game works fine however after removing the MODDING folder from OpenIV.

    I have added a few police vehicles as Add-ons, but i cant pull the AI over. I get the blip, but they dont pull over. I know it have someting to do with the "flags" in the vehicles.meta

     

    I have added vehicles.meta and carvariations.meta

    Amazing work, @Albo1125 and @festivalmatt!

     

    After following the instructions, I'm having a couple of issues, one of which is fairly important. The first issue is that I am unable to pull people over in LSPDFR, and traffic does not yield to my lights/sirens. I am using the same handling/carvariations/vehicle.meta lines as POLICE2, but modified for the addon vehicle name (SLICK2014CHGR). The second issue is that I can't customize the vehicle via the Simple Trainer, such as upgrading performance and/or changing the wheels. If I place the same vehicle in other slots, I have no issues with customizing and having traffic yield to my lights/sirens.

     

    While I'm not sure if you specifically know about how to solve this issue, maybe someone else who sees this comment does know, and would like to help me and others.

    If you change the vehicle.meta for example police3 can you add it in the custom one or does it still need to be adjusted in the main one? Also if I update it does it overwrite anything in the previous version or should I back it up?

    When you use RageShowMyLocation mod it shows "ALBO1125 FESTIVALMATT" as Player location in the loading screen.

    An easy way to update is to drag out ('export') your vehicles.rpf and meta files. Then, install the new update, and drag the vehicles.rpf and the meta files you dragged out before, back into the proper places in the updated pack.

    I am Trying to add a handling.meta entry for a Addon and not for a replace in the handling.meta that is in the modding.rpf

    If you're trying to replace a default handling.meta entry you must do this in the default handling.meta file as stated in the documentation.

    likely cos it it nowhere says it works with the RDE. That is its own addon dlc system thatll probably conflict with this. youll need to put more work in on your own to get it to work with this. we havnt tried to get it to work with it.

    Need to make sure you enter the audiohash line properly into the vehicles meta

    It doesn't seem to be working with police vehicles, I tried to install a vehicle in police, police4, and fbi2 and it just reverts to the cars I have installed in my rdesheriff dlc pack. If I delete those vehicles from the rdesheriff pack then it reverts to the vannila vehicles. I checked the dlclist file and the modding dlcpack is at the bottom. I installed a vehicle in place of the tailgater in the modding pack and its showed up fine.

    Hey Albo, great mod!! I'm havving issue with no ingame sound of the added cars. I followed your installation steps from youtube tutorials, but when I spawn the cars ingame the added cars have no engine or siren sound. Other cars that are replaced with built in slots (eg. Police1, Police2, etc.) are working perfect. Any help would be appreciated!

    Oh dear, I read the readme. must have missed it. Thank you for your friendly reply despite that. Trust me, I'm not one of those guys who doesn't bother with readmes. Thanks for the pointer!
