Just came across this on Youtube, and the flash pattern on the Whelen Ultra Freedom is to die for.

What to expect from the next update.

More spawn points - Most of the center island is covered by city spawn points, and state police. More stable - more catches have been added, feedback from different computer types taken into account.  Range was slightly reduced for spawning in things - this seemed to be a large issue. Less crashing on an out come from the traffic stop. More informative (Will tell you when a callout was not in range, if it failed to grab a location, this is a temp problem until I blanket the map.). Working on making sure partner returns to vehicle. Proper cleanup of criminal, and criminal vehicle once scene is cleared (removed from memory)
What to expect to go wrong or still need work

Still need to work on the finish state for the callout.   Looking to make the primary officer stay on scene until you feel its cleared.  Be it calling for a tow-truck, corner, EMS (... phh if you crazy.), or fire. He currently SOMETIMES, goes back to his vehicle from extreme ranges, even when told to do so, sometimes I can't get him to listen (conflict in what script has control.) One of the callouts hangs.  The suspect just stays in the car - this isn't a bug, more so a not-so-complete script of a suspect thats noncomplying.  In future updates the primary will approach the car, try to open it, demand him to step out, most likely break the window out and drag him out.  Well see how it goes.
The main reason I'm doing this update is to push out more spawn locations, and get more people that are having issues playing the callout.  Whats the point if you can't play the beat that you want to?  I've been working with several people in trying to make it more stable - as always its hard, but I think things are still improving in that regard.

Once I see how this one goes, I'll most likely transition to making normal, none-felon related traffic assist calls that the player can respond to.  Nite guys!

It's time for another short update.

    Current project:
I am currently working on a revised edition of the last project >I wrote about, there's nothing too exciting to show.

I have fixed a number of issues that was present on both model and skins. My testing has produced encouraging results so far, expect news in the latter part of week 6.

And now it's time for a spot of house keeping:

I have given up on my 2011-2014 Charger PP after attempting to work though a list of improvements, most of which turned out to be too time consuming or beyond my skill level.

However, I have not given up on making A 2011 Charger PP. I am in the (very) early stages of converting Forza 4's Charger SRT R/T into PP specification, as well as fully converting the model to GTA IV itself.
Progress has been encouraging so far. Most of my work has been spent on admin, that is splitting the model from Forza's structure into groups based on their function (doors, bodyshell, bonnet, boot, interior and so on).

It's too early to tell how it will turn out, the model requires enough plastic surgery to keep a Beverly Hills surgeon in business for the foreseeable future.

The front bumper and bonnet has to be completely remodelled, I hope to cannibalise my dead '11 Charger for those parts, fitting issues notwithstanding.
Likewise, the interior requires a bit of cannibalising. Forza's model has 2 different interiors, one interior is included along the exterior model, which I assume is used for third person driving given its fidelity (which is low). The other, higher fidelity, interior is designed for first person driving, redundant for GTA IV.

Using the former interior, the one designed for third person, does present itself with a couple of issues. The major issue being that the doors exist only as a texture.
I intend to use the interior part of the doors from my dead Charger. Though time will tell if it will work.

Lastly, I am also going to revise a number of lighting parts (lightbars and lightheads), I'll post when I have more information, I expect to release a couple of models as dev resources, though it depends on a number of factors.

The Charger will be a major project, a project I will work on while making mods using models that are, well, usable.

Continuing with the ongoing development of LCPD First Response - a process which has been going on for about five and a half years now, we're excited to announce the release of the next installment in the 1.0 series, 1.0d.

LCPDFR 1.0d brings with it a number of fixes and new features. For the first time, we've also put together a comprehensive on-line guide to the new release, hopefully giving everyone more accessible information about what LCPDFR 1.0d can do, and how you can use it and this is accessible here: https://www.lcpdfr.com/page/guide.html

Among the new features added in LCPDFR 1.0d are water pursuits, red laser Tasers, multiple partners, and all new Quick Action Menu.  As always, we've taken the opportunity to fix several bugs and to increase overall stability.  For those of you who play GTA IV Multiplayer, you'll be pleased to know that improvements have been made with regards to multiplayer compatibility too.

Again, this release, along with various changes that have been happening on the website are part of a wider flurry of activity that is taking place right now at LCPDFR.com.   Of course, with this release, the focus will soon shift back to the website, and more details about that can be found in my news post from last month: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

We hope you enjoy LCPDFR 1.0d,
    Sam

  9. Fuel816 liked a post in a topic by NickieB in NickieB's farewell to the community - its been a good one....
For anyone who's been paying attention my activity on the site over the past few months has been slim to none. I've been meaning to do this for awhile now so this will be my farewell and my announcement of "retirement". I've been an active member of this site for years now with over 1,000 posts, honestly I never thought I'd make 100 posts. I'm not going to ramble on and right an essay, there are just a few things I want to say. There have been so many people along the way that have helped me:
Nutt - who's been a great friend, contributed to many projects and has been with me since day one.
    Makinith29 - the YouTube legend
EFox - another good friend who has been with me from the start
KevinDV, EVI, BxBugs123, Voodoobie, Tim98 (or whatever he calls himself today) for all of the parts and support they have provided along the way.
Raptor422 and Strikeeagle345 - I was able to form great friendships with these guys and have a successful YouTube LCPD:FR patrol series.
Also a huge thank you to Sam and the developers of LCPD:FR, without you there wouldn't be any reason for all the great mods we make.
Anyone who has ever BETA tested for me - the mods weren't possible without you guys.
Anyone else I forgot, don't feel bad if I forgot your name, I just have trouble remembering everyone.

It all started with an unlocked CVPI, EVI's wheel pack, Code 3 XT6's and a Whelen Justice... I did it simply because I wanted 1 car, a slicktop unmarked CVPI with hubcaps. (link to my first model for anyone interested ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>)'>?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>) I never intended to even release that or make any more cars than that but with almost 35 released files totaling 40,000 downloads on this site alone, I couldn't have asked for anything more. None of which would have been possible without you guys, the community.

Honestly I have no interest in modeling anymore, I haven't touched any projects in months and even in my free time I don't enjoy it like I use to. With work and the fact that what use to be a virtual law enforcement career is on its way to becoming a real life one I feel its time to part ways so I can focus fully on that, as I've been doing for awhile now. I had some great times on this forum and in this community as a whole and once again I thank everyone for that. GTA V has been in the back of my mind and while there is a chance I may come back and release content for that, well I wouldn't hold your breath. I will still lurk in the shadows as I've been doing and may occasionally posts here and there but for the most part this will conclude my time here.

THANK YOU and I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and new year.

  10. Fuel816 liked a post in a topic by Sam in 1.0, IPS 4, GTA V and more
So we've been quite noticeably silent over the past couple of months - there is reason behind the emptiness however, and much of it relates to how I and most others on the team have been increasingly busy with things in the real world and so on.  That doesn't mean that we're not still working away on LCPDFR, however, and it gets better than that as well because not only are we still pushing ahead with development on another update in the 1.0 series, but we've been focusing attention elsewhere as well - especially as it concerns both this community and the fast approaching GTA V which is seemingly just around the corner now.  Regardless, I thought that given the lack of news for a little while I'd take this opportunity to bring everyone back up to date with what we're doing and where we're going next.

    IPS 4

On the immediate horizon for us is IPS 4, which is the major overhaul of our community software that powers LCPDFR.com.  IPS 4 has been in development for quite some time now and we've had a pre-release version of it hosted on a testing website for just over a month now, too.  For more information about IPS 4 and to take a look at it in action, I'd recommend you visit the pre-release demo set up by IPS at http://zend.ipsdevserver.com/ips4/  In short though, IPS 4 brings a much more modern and streamlined framework for building a community driven website.  Admittedly, LCPDFR has rocked the same design for just under 3 years now, and I do feel like it is again time for a change.  With IPS 4, we will be rolling out an entirely new theme, loosely based on this dark blue which we first introduced in late 2011. We are hoping that this is something that will be completed by the end of the year, although with this one. the ball isn't really in our court - we're just waiting for the software to be properly released.

    LCPDFR 1.0

Back in the closing days of last year we released LCPDFR 1.0 - it was certainly a moment we'll never forget when our servers collapsed with all the downloads.  Throughout this year we've been updating LCPDFR 1.0 by bringing three patches, the last of which being 1.0c in summer of this year.  Work on the fourth patch, 1.0d, has, at a slow pace, been ongoing for a couple of months now and we'll be finishing it off by the end of this month if all goes to plan.  To give you an idea of some of the things that we've come up with for 1.0d, I've included an image I took a little while ago below:

    GTA V

Of course, ever present in the minds of everyone now I would assume is the impending release of GTA V on PC.  Certainly we're all hotly anticipating it as well and are of course fantasizing over the possibilities that it could bring in terms of modding.  I'm cautious to raise high hopes considering the direction that GTA V has taken in terms of multiplayer integration and the tight restrictions that Rockstar and Sony/Microsoft have imposed on the current-gen release, although this hasn't deterred anyone from investigating what it might take to get the ball rolling with GTA V.  Our own LMS has been hard at work, with some others, studying Max Payne 3, the latest title which Rockstar released for PC, and has reported varying degrees of success in terms of modding.  It still seems to be a subject of ambiguity, but let there be no doubt about it, we'd absolutely love, more than anything, to be able to launch an 'LSPDFR' for GTA V.

    Other notes

Despite GTA IV being nearly 6 years old, and LCPDFR being more than 5 years old, it is remarkable to see the level of interest that still surrounds us here on LCPDFR.com.  We recently just passed the 145,000 member mark and we're well on our way to reaching the big 150k.  I said last year (or at least I think I did) that it was an exciting time to be in the community with the release of LCPDFR 1.0 only weeks away.  Indeed, with just over two months until GTA V is released for PC, and a major website plus smaller LCPDFR update on the cards, I'd say that once again, it is definitely an exciting time to be here.

I created this thread to post all my handling lines here as well. You might know me as rob.zombie from gtaforums.com and I make handling mods for smokey8808's cars.

All handlings will be based on it's real counterparts and will try to be as realistic as possible.

    My handlings have:
    ================

    - correct 0-60 times

    - correct 60-0 times

    - accurate top speed

    - accurate gear ratios (car changes gear at the same speed like the one in real life)

    - realistic cardeformation

    UPDATE NOVEMBER 3RD, 2015  10:50PM EST
The MDT/MDC System has gone through a series of improvements over the last few weeks.  As always I greatly appreciate the support and positive feedback from our users.  As the GTA V community continues to grow the GTA IV MDT/MDC System will NOT BE FORGOTTEN!  Already this week we have released a few exciting features regarding the interface.  This includes a new "NightMode" and the "CopShare" inquiry tool that connects players to one another by allowing users to view each others reports.  I am also here to announce that at this time the EMS/FIRE Cads for the GTA IV community will not be developed due to lack of interest/use.  If in the future those systems gain interest than I will look into further developing such systems.  That is about it for now, enjoy the new updates and have a great time utilizing the system.

    UPDATE FEBRUARY 27TH, 2015  12:00PM EST
The single player version has been active for a few months now and has shown steady growth. We encourage user suggestions for improvements but at this time the system is offered AS IS.  There has been more of a focus on two (2) other cad systems for role-playing users to enjoy... The Fire / EMS Cad systems.  They are also currently being developed for SINGLE PLAYER use and will be released accordingly.

I have placed the multiplayer clan environment on hold for the time being to help accommodate the other users (fire/ems role-players) of the community not just the law enforcement role-players.  I will keep this thread updated and users can feel free to submit suggestions.  If I do not reply to you directly don't think I haven't seen it because I write everything down and keep them in a file for development ideas/future updates/releases.

There is a new commendation system which will add certain commendations to user profiles for MV Stops, Arrests, Etc... which will start within the next few weeks.  Unfortunately for me, I have been transferred to a new unit which does not give me a set amount of days off etc, therefore real-life things play into a role on what I can and can't do and the time I can spend in my FREE time to create and add for your enjoyment.

    NEW SCREENSHOTS 11/03/215....
At the request of community users I am happy to announce a few new features to the MDT/MDC and Records Management System. The last two posts of this topic introduces the "CopShare" Inquiry tool which allows users to view other users reports and incidents.  The second posting is the development announcement for the much anticipated "NightMode" for the MDT/MDC interface.
If anyone would like to PM me with ideas/suggestions or has questions you may.  Just be mindful that it may take me a few to get back to you and that I am in no way ignoring your messages.

While Fuel816 and my self were playing online we discovered 9/11 quotes while on a traffic stop.. At first we got a little spooked when it happened...... In all Seriousness this was really awesome of LCPDFR to activate this in our game.

As I was conducting a traffic stop I thought of this, when you run the persons name and  there wasn't to much info actually given. Along with this when giving a cite to the person you have to give them a dollar amount cite which isn't very realistic.

My idea was to add probation/parole status to the person, who the vehicle is registered to, if the registration is up to date, and if the vehicle has insurance in the information given when you run the persons name. For the cite, change from dollar amounts to a fix-it, infraction, and misdemeanor citation. I think doing these small things would add a lot of realism to the game
