so i got an idea earlier this night on making reflective liveries. i still have to figure out the best way to accomplish this. but as is, it is multi livery supported, as long as its the same dpt .
heres a comparison between the reflective car and a normal car

We're mostly just testing it and playing around with it for now. A common complaint we get is aside from forum posts, there's no big list of the most common and essential mods anywhere. We're hoping this will fix that and make it easier for newer players to get started with the best mods for their LSPDFR experience.

Essential mods are ones that greatly enhance your LSPDFR experience.  For example coroner feature, tow truck, etc.  Personally, I'm a bit surprised we have VisualV and a callout pack listed as essential, but other than that I agree with all those.  Honestly, all of Albo's mods could probably be under essential, as they all add a lot to LSPDFR.

    Hi guys,

We've made a few very small changes to uploading files but I feel they deserve a small mention. This has been based on feedback sent to me.

Hidden files will stay hidden upon uploading a new version
If your file was hidden and you uploaded a new version of the file, and that file was flagged by our security systems as requiring manual approval, the act of approving the file would cause it to be shown. Instead, if you submit a change to a hidden file, even if it needs manual approval, the act of moderator approval will put your file back into a 'Hidden by Author' stage for you to unhide at a time of your choosing. This should make staging updates easier.
If this applies to you, upon trying to upload a new version, you'll see this at the bottom of the page.

You can now choose to mute notifications when uploading a new version
If you are making a small change, for example a small irrelevant bugfix or a small change to the changelog of your file, you now have the option of making sure notifications don't get sent to people. Please note that the updated date will still be bumped, though.

You can now submit files pre-hidden.
Upon submitting a file, you can now submit a file pre-hidden. This also incorporates the changes from 1) that if your file needs to be approved, it will be approved back into the hidden state for you to unhide later at a time of your choosing.

BINGO! But not just any tailgating vehicle... A FANBULANCE!

Also note that I rarely make textures for just one vehicle or one version of a vehicle....so this will be a pack....Some will be based on real vehicles, some, like the one above, will be products of my imagination.....

You can either find it with @Outlaw 13's method, or just place them in the most recent patchday (patchday15) vehicles.rpf. GTA loads files in order from most recent patch to the base files, so if a car is in the most recent patchday it will still load.
  7. theninja35 liked a post in a topic by Kallus Rourke in QUICK Q: Is there any knowned issues of LSPDFR on Steam copies?

In my opinion, the Steam version is much, much easier to deal with. I've never had an issue with GTA/Steam, and it does make things more convenient, as you can verify integrity of game cache if needed.  Go for it.

Alright folks, I guess we finally have it... Been waiting on the Cadillac One since like... forever. Even for IV we only ever had the old DTS (which wasn't that great anyway, but...). Well, I have just recently acquired a newly released model of the presidential state car from Humster3D. Worry not, I have paid extra to get a game optimized mesh, so I don't have to bring a whopping 800k poly model into the game. The model was funded by me and someother people wanting to finally see it ingame.
The model itself features the exterior with wheels, seperated doors and low detailed interior. The model is well made with clean geometry (my first Hum3D model).
So, here is my project plan:
-Wait for the optimized Mesh to arrive (either today or tomorrow)
-Implement an engine (probably gonna use some generic GM or Escalade parts, nothing too fancy)
-Detailed interior(dasboard) (again, probably gonna use Escalade as reference)
    -Realsitic wheel textures
    -Baggage compartment
    -Texturize the lights and emblems
-Some minor undercarriage model/texturing (suspension parts, exhaust, things like that)

However, I am still stuck in my exams phase, so don't expect this to be finished within the next 3 weeks. I just thought I'd to create this thread to let people know I'm on it before someone else perhaps goes and also pays for the model, which would be quite... unfortunate. If desired, I can already post some pics of the high-poly mesh in ZModeler.

Ah yea, that was something I wanted to look up anyway (the location of the lights, etc). Don't know if I'll make ELS, but it will be unlocked anyway, so if I don't do it, someone else can.

Oh and I forgot to mention: LODs, dirt mapping and stuff like that will be made as well of course.
  10. theninja35 liked a post in a topic by Sniper296 in Carmodders, importance of Lods.
You can view unlocked vehicles in OpenIV. It has an option to switch between the LODs. The _hi.yft will only have the high lod(with interior) the other .yft should decrease in quality until you have a model that would not even be good enough for a PS1 game.

Welcome to “Under Construction” - the review of what will be coming soon to LCPDFR.com.

For this month, we’ve decided to focus on two themes with a total of five modifications!

    Vehicle Modifications
Ontario Provincial Police Department Pack - @t0y

One of our favorite modelers is coming out with a complete vehicle pack focused in good ole’ Canada.  This pack by toy will include four cars, accurately modeled to the standards of the OPP.  We all love having some new cars to play around with, especially a whole new pack!  This pack includes a few CVPI variants, Chargers, Tahoes, and the Ford Interceptors.  We all love vehicle packs, but what better than a pack with ped textures!  That’s right, folks, this pack will truly be comprehensive by including all your OPP needs: vehicles with textures and peds!  Los Santos will soon have a new law enforcement agency ready to take down those criminals.  Watch out LSPD, the OPP are coming!

New York Police Department Pack - @OfficerWalters

Now that the OPP are are on their way, we’ve had reports from Walters that the NYPD are opening a branch in San Andreas.  This will be the first complete mega-pack for the NYPD since the days of LCPDFR (which was released over 7 years ago...), and it will be the first NYPD pack to see the action of Los Santos.  This pack will be an accurate pack which includes replicas of almost the entire NYPD fleet.  Yes, that’s right – this will include a NYPD tow truck and even a prisoner bus!  Thanks to ELS supporting rotators, many vehicles will have rotating lights.  When you get tired of the city and decide to move to the highway, Walters has you covered.  The NYPD Highway Patrol will be equipped with their famous Highrisers that work!

Los Angeles Police Department Pack - @Scuderio

Yesterday might have been leg day but today is pack day (in case you couldn’t tell).  Now we’ll be taking a look at the pack that is based off the LAPD.  Accuracy is the name of the game, and Scuderio is on the top of the leaderboard.  Almost all the vehicles the LAPD use will be replicated including equipment, extra parts, and even K9 vehicles.  To make your life easier, some cars will be able to use the in-game tuning parts to place extras.  For you old-school people like myself, there will still be other versions with the normal extra system.  Cool, huh?  It’s amazing how far modding has come!  These vehicles will utilize ELS and will include accurate light stages that are as close to the real thing as can be.  Don’t believe me that this is going to be amazing?  See for yourself below.

    Automatic Roadblocks - @khorio

Sick and tired of pursuits going forever?  Tried to make a roadblock yourself but got angry with the AI smashing into the side of your vehicle?  Me too.  Luckily, we have khorio around to save the day!  His new modification, Automatic Roadblocks, is a modification that will provide roadblocks anywhere in San Andreas!  Using a newly developed road detection algorithm, the vehicles will be placed perfectly across any road.  These roadblocks will escalate depending on the pursuit aggressiveness and can even include spikestrips if the need arises.  Oh, you wanted customizability?  He’s done that too!  Automatic Roadblocks will have a fully customizable modern UI.  Oh, now you want advanced pursuit updates?  Oh, you even want 2700 scripted lines for it?  Well, too bad.  Not only are you getting advanced pursuit updates but you’ll also be getting updates with over 2700 scripted lines!  I see.  That’s amazing and you’re super excited, but you also want the ability to shut down the road on your own now?  Good thing khorio has also added support for that!  An integral part of Automatic Roadblocks, Shut The (censored) Road Down will properly close off lanes, areas, or entire roads without the amazing AI crashing through.  This part also allows you to edit the barriers, cones, or flares used!

    Vehicle Gadgets+ - @alexguirre

Ever wanted to have a working fire ladder?  Of course you do, why would I ask that?!  The real question is, did you forget to extend the outriggers on your ladder truck before you started going up the ladder?  Well, with Vehicle Gadgets+ by our very own alexguirre you will be able to ensure you extended those outriggers and even extend a ladder!  This new mod adds features that vehicle modelers can utilize simply by editing meta files and adding special parts onto their vehicles.  Modelers – get ready to add awesome things to your models!  This is a unique type of script we’re featuring today, as it requires custom-made models to utilize the features!  It’s important to remember that while this seems like a small mod, it’s being expanded!

I was on duty as California Highway Patrol officer. When I was sitting in my '97 Crown Vic, the dispatch called me over a welfare check, stating that the suspect was known as Dave Mustaine, and they had the call from his neighbor.
I went to Dave Mustaine's house (it was a caravan, maybe he was on vacation), asked him how he was, but then he tried to beat me, so I had to arrest him.
To be honest, I feel sorry for him, I like his music band songs very much. I think I ruined his career, and now Megadeth fans would be hunting me to death.
I hope he gets better when he'll be acquitted.

PS: the caller was James Hetfield.

  15. Izick liked a post in a topic by theninja35 in RAGEHook Plugin Converts ASI Mods to Functional 'RASI' Mods
A new RAGEHook plugin has emerged among the Take-Two mod-ban chaos, claiming that it is capable of converting old ASI mods into functional scripts through RAGEHook. Pursuit, the author of this plugin as well as the GTA V Modding Launcher, says that, "[He] implemented almost everything, so most ASIs should load properly." Some examples of these mods (for anyone who is unfamiliar) include most Trainers as well as Lt.Caine's Emergency Lighting System (ELS).

Although I have not yet tested it myself - and no users have yet reported it as working - if it does end up working, this could be the alternative to Script Hook if Alexander does not end up updating it. My hopes are high for either.

As noted by @LanceGood a new version is here. He also has made a topic about the update that is posted here.

I know, it sounds ridiculous, it sounded the same way to me. But if you change the name to something like "1104.2" (for example), it won't download anything. The reason this works is because it sends you to a different download page/location which holds the correct ScriptHook version.
  18. theninja35 liked a post in a topic by Izick in How to get the newest ScriptHookV before release!
@KevinHopz Yes, I know. He has the newest version uploaded just not active to be downloaded and this changes that. At the end of the video it shows the last time the file itself was modified which was yesterday. I also tested the files and it works furthermore to prove my point.

With the Steam Summer Sale arriving in only a few days, a decrease in sales is possible.

The unfortunate part of that is that they've already milked the money cow that is GTA 5, so I don't think a few lost sales three years later would be a big deal to them.
