Policeold1 and Policeold2 models, carvariations and vehicles meta locations

Hey guys,

I'm attempting to add a couple cars to the policeold1 and policeold2 slots from the CHP pack and I have carvariations and vehicles meta settings to add, but the instructions don't actually say where I can find the correct carvariations , vehicles meta to edit and the location of the actual models themselves. Not sure if I've missed something but I'm hoping somebody can shed some light! I'm usually fine with installing car mods but the CHP pack instructions seem to be all over the place.

Where'd you install policeold1 & policeold2? 

Try adding the vehicle & carvariations to here: 

Vehicles.meta [mods]\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5\vehicles.meta

Carvariations [mods]\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpluxe\dlc.rpf\common\data\carvariations.meta

I placed an unmarkered tahoe to replace policeold1 in patch 11. Now the lights will not work. The siren does but no lights. Any ideas?

If I had to guess, it's because of the carvar.  Change the "siren setting" to 1 for policeold1.

I'm not sure if that makes a difference.  Have you tried replacing the whole carvar for policeold1?  As in using the police carvar for it and just renaming it to policeold1?

I am kinda new to this. Can you explain? Do you mean the the carvariations of another SUV? -Also, can you please tell me how to get to the policeold1 carvariations meta? The Tahoe I I got did not come with a carvariations file

First, remove the policeold1 carvar you placed in patchday11.  I've included a carvar the bottom of this post you can try.  I already named it, just paste it.

 

Next, install the policeold1 carvar to [mods]\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpluxe\dlc.rpf\common\data\carvariations.meta.

do I put the Tahoe car file in 64e instead of patch 11? The install for this Tahoe was confusing to me.

Yes, policeold1 and policeold2 go in x64e. :)

Ok my friend. I did everything. In the carmeta you told me to put it in there was already a police car. So I pasted it at the bottom of that meat file. Played game and still no lights at all. The siren works though. Should I have deleted the other car in the meta?

If you have two carvariations for that one model, yes, delete the extra.  All you need is the one.
