ragehook crashes

Recommended Posts

Whenever I start the game via ragehook I get to the Rockstar logo and hear 3 or four beeps and then the game crashes and I get shown the crash log. My game build is 505.2 and I am using the ragehook the comes with lspdfr version 0.2beta. Does anyone have a solution? I really want to play this mod. Thanks for your help in advance! Tell me if you need anymore information to help me.

Hello there - Welcome, and thanks for trying out LSPDFR. We require all members to read the provided ReadMe and User Documentation before getting support. Please keep in mind that this is a beta version of LSPDFR - we cannot guarantee that all issues have been resolved.

You can find the user manual in your LSPDFR Download folder. If you still have questions after reading the User Documentation, review the LSPDFR FAQ; http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/51162-lspdfr-frequently-asked-questions/.

Ensure you have a folder titled "LSPDFR" and "plugins" in your root directory.

  • The plugins folder should contain the following;
    • LSPD First Response.dll
    • A folder titled "LSPDFR"

Make sure you have the latest RagePluginHook: http://ragepluginhook.net/

Please do so now and return to this topic when this is done and do the following;

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • State which version of the game you're using (Steam or Retail)
  • Post the RagePluginHook.log in a spoiler tag (Please be courteous and only include the relevant information).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications. You need to meet the required system specifications for the mod to work properly.
  • Post what other mods you are using.
  • Post a screenshot of your GTA V Game directory.

 Failure to follow these instructions may result in topic closure.

Hello thank you for your fast response I will try and tell you all the information I know about this problem. My problem is that whenever I start the steam version of Grand Theft Auto 5 via Ragehook I reach the blue Rockstar logo and then I hear 3 or 4 beeps. After that my screen goes back and the game continues, so I have to exit by pressing the windows key to see my crash log. When I exit the crashes log then GTA5 crashes. I know I have all the requirements to run LSPDFR and Ragehook, so I don't know what the problem is. My Ragehook version in 0.20. I am not using any mods other than LSPDFR. Some solutions I've tries are reinstalling LSPDFR, restarting my computer, trying to downgrade my game version(failed to downgrade), and getting a different version of Ragehook. I can't get a different version because whenever I try to move it to my GTA root a message pops up saying an unhandled error occurred (Error code: 0x80004005).   Here are the pictures. The first one is my GTA root, the next 3 are the Ragehook crash log, and the last two are system specifications and the is one is the error message when I move the latest Ragehook out of it's folder to anyplace.

As the log says, unknown game version. You are using an old RAGE Plugin Hook version that does not support patch 505. Please update to the latest RPH version.

I would update it but whenever I try to put the new ragehook into my GTA root I get a error message with a code, which is 0x80004005. What is the problem?

Glad it worked bro.  Ya the Mod guys with LSPDFR do a great job at helping people install the game.  Its just they can't keep up with the Rage Hook Updates.
