Increased weapon damage

As many people have pointed out, the newest versions of LSPDFR have some effects on the damage dealt by guns on suspects. I for one am not really satisfied with the current system (after all, it takes about a clip and a half on the default pistol to drop a determined suspect currently). In possible future versions, perhaps an optional feature (maybe toggleable in an .INI file?) could be a feature similar to Hardcore mode from LCPDFR, where default weapon damage is increased, firefights are over faster and cover becomes invaluable. Is this an idea that could be taken into account in the future?
