IMPORTANT:

Troubleshooting:

  • Package not installing? Run OpenIV as an administrator, then go to Tools/Package Manager, navigate to and select your RDE_V3.OIV file (in Build folder). If running Windows 7 and below, install this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15697
  • Make sure your mods folder is empty
  • Make sure you have OpenIV.asi in your GTA V folder

Required for RDE to work:

All of us here at the GTA Realism Team have committed ourselves to providing you with best possible GTA V wanted level experience. Best lore friendly models, incredible variety, reworked AI, enhanced dispatch and unique wanted level spawning extension script will provide you with an unique experience on a scale that has never been seen before in GTA V, all in one easy-to-install package.

RDE 3.0 - Robust, Detailed, Enhanced
3.0 brings a plethora of new features - there are too many to count. New agencies, six stars, even more vehicles, custom ped models, powerful scripts - RDE just got bigger, badder, and better! 3.0 expands on 2.2, while redoing many of the features from scratch. We are certain that you will love 3.0.

RDE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
RDE is:
Lore Friendly - each of the changes introduced does not stand out from the GTA universe created by Rockstar Games. The concepts introduced out by Rockstar have instead been expanded and revamped with loving care.
Realistic - many of the introduced changes bring GTA V closer to the real-life - examples include new AI behaviors and tactics, agency jurisdictions, response types and more. However, realistic does not mean real - it’s still the GTA universe, just better.
Detailed - every aspect of the mod has been perfected to the tiniest detail, from higher quality models and textures to new police stations. Even the tiny details such as port police officers replacing private security in relevant places in the Port of South LS are included, and many more details have been added to already existing models.
Fun - RDE has been made to be a challenging but fun experience. The specialized, built-from-ground-up wanted level system allows for truly epic chases and shootouts - but watch out! Cops have some new tools in their equipment, and they know how to use them - to great effect. True Sixth Star has been added - can you survive the law enforcement agencies of San Andreas throwing everything they have at you?

RDE improves and expands old law enforcement agencies and brings new ones to the GTA world, based on real-life ones yet seamlessly integrated into the universe, providing unparalleled variety, with no cut corners. Outrun the San Andreas Highway Patrol on the freeways, play hide-and-seek with San Andreas State Parks Rangers, meet Los Santos Sheriff’s Department in LS County and more.

Law Enforcement Agencies:

Local:

  • Los Santos Police Department (LSPD),
  • Los Santos Sheriff Department (LSSD),
  • Blaine County Sheriff's Office (BCSO, optional add-on),
  • Los Santos Port Authority Police (PAP),
  • Los Santos International Airport Police (LSIAPD)

State:

  • San Andreas Highway Patrol (SAHP),
  • San Andreas State Park Rangers (SASP),
  • San Andreas Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (SADCR),
  • San Andreas National Guard (Military)

Federal:

  • National Office of Security Enforcement (NOOSE),
  • Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB, expanded in optional add-on),
  • United States Coast Guard (USCG)

Each agency has unique and detailed lore friendly vehicles and custom made peds. Not only they will patrol their respective zones, but thanks to the new wanted system they will appear in their respective jurisdictions.

Military response is present and reactive - if you are flying in an airplane or helicopter while wanted, expect to soon notice military fighters on your radar. Rampages in tanks are no longer unstoppable - fire will be fought with fire. PAYDAY & Call of Duty inspired Juggernauts will spawn at higher wanted levels. All of this is configurable.

Dispatch system has been almost completely replaced by a custom made script, allowing for six stars, configurability and advanced AI. Choose one of the provided presets, or make your own - you can tailor almost every aspect of the mod to your likings.

Arrest Warrant & Better Chases mod has been completely integrated and updated with new features and extra configurability not found in the original version.

All of the features from Crime and Police Rebalance & Enhancement have been included, with even more AI and meta changes than before.

Optional add-ons - The Sheriffs of Blaine, Federal Law and Emergency! are provided in the download. We recommend to install them all for complete experience, but they are not required to run RDE.

Thanks to Cass, we are proud to include a standalone (no need to install WOV separately), compatible version of his amazing mod World of Variety in our download as an optional installation option. You do not need to worry yourself about making two of your favorite mods work together - we did this for you. Just select the option in the installer, and enjoy WOV with RDE.

For your convenience we’ve included Spawn MP Vehicles in SP by drp4lyf as an optional patch for those who use WOV or want to spawn these vehicles in SP.

RDE is also a perfect base for LSPDFR mod. You can install RDE and the provided backup.xml and enjoy the ultimate LSPDFR experience with no hassle, taking advantage of all the new RDE vehicles and peds. We have also included configuration files for several popular plugins, such as ArrestManager by Albo1125, CustomBackup and BetterEMS by PNWParksFan and CopHolster by PieRGud.

A dedicated RDE Package Creator will allow you to configure your RDE installation in a similar fashion to FOMOD/Nexus installers for Skyrim/Fallout and create an OIV package you only need to install with OpenIV Package Manager. No more fuss with files!

FAQ’s

Q: I noticed a bug, how should I submit a report for it to be fixed?
A: Please provide a brief explanation of the bug and submit your logs. To do this open SixStarResponse.ini and make the following changes: “Debug=1” “NativeDebug=1” then save the ini. Reproduce the bug and open your SixStarResponse.log, gather the contents, use pastebin.com to post the log contents, and then submit the link to us with your description.

Q: The HUD elements beside the wanted stars aren’t aligned properly. Can this be fixed?
A: The HUD elements should be aligned as shown here: http://imgur.com/TI0wgeM if yours doesn’t look like this you may need to edit your safezone-size like so: http://imgur.com/SLS2AKt

Q: Please help! I’m getting crash issues upon loading the game or selecting story mode.
A: There’s numerous things that could cause this. If a new dlc is released it will require a new gameconfig file to be created, if you have an exceeding amount of extra vehicles with RDE that could cause issues with gameconfig as well. Our advice: Remove everything and start with a fresh mods folder (yes remove any other scripts as well) then install only rde and slowly add the others back one by one; testing with each addition.

Q: I do not own a legal copy of the game, will this mod still work?
A: Whether it works or not you’re on your own. We created this mod based on the official game release and will not support any other version of the game. Please do not ask us for support or de-tour our comments/forums with this discussion.

Q: I have agencies spawning outside of their jurisdiction. What could cause this?
A: 3.0 has completely rewritten the police system and so dispatch.meta is now limited to only spawning roadblocks and SWAT helicopters; the rest is handled via script. There’s other things that could cause this but as a good rule of thumb it’s imperative that you use the dispatch.meta we’ve provided and not one from another mod unless specifically stated it was made for RDE 3.0.

Q: Does RDE support SP missions / Will we add this feature?
A: In 3.0 you will most likely experience issues with some SP missions while others may work fine. It would be a big undertaking to ensure complete compatibility and so we would need the enlistment of the community to submit their logs. (See how to submit a bug report above)

Q: Can I develop my own configs for RDE and submit them on GTA5-mods/LSPDFR?
A: Not only are you allowed to do this but we encourage you to do so! However you are not permitted to share our files, models, scripts, etc. Only the config files are to be shared so be sure to have your users install RDE first before adding your mod/edits.

Very nice mod, I love the added veichles. Damn, Highway Patrol and NOOSE cars are awesome! Anyway, that's too heavy. I have an i5 @3.10 GHz, 8gb of RAM and 2gb of VRAM (poor pc but no so bad) and it crashes very frequently even with the low-end settings. It's a pity

Absolutely amazing! You don't have to play as a criminal in order to enjoy this mod, just having the mod downloaded adds a variety of law enforcement in the streets which just makes everything better. It also adds more immersion due to the different types of units such as highway patrol, different types of swat units new vehicle models and all that good shtuff :3 Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Brilliantly Made. Easily allows me to have separate Highway Patrol Cruisers and more slots to run more agencies or vehicles.

This mod is broken since the tiny racer update, and should not be featured on the front page until it's fixed. The last update was 4 months ago.

Nice Mod I like the custom vehicles. I also like the new peds. I like seeing the custom vehicles driving around. However it would be nice if you could make the cops spawn in a rain coat in the rain and normal uniforms in clear weather. If this is even possible. But other than that great mod.

Nice mod, it runs stable and the new textures make a balance between realism (ex: the more realistic black/white sheriff car textures) and the Los Santos setting in GTA V.  This modification is a must-have for users of EUP. I also like those SAHP cruisers ingame, who are patrolling at the highways.

A spectacular package both for LSPD:FR and regular Story Mode gameplay. Patrols are much more fun with the upgraded peds and vehicles; while Story Mode chases are much more balanced, diverse, and entertaining with the mod installed.

Just a question: Do you also plan to include female security guards and/or female armored truck guards in the mod in the future? It'd be nice to see the same gender variety for them that RDE offers for the law enforcement agencies.

Simply a must have for any LSPDFR enthusiast that likes keeping things lore friendly, while adding immense amounts of extra immersion. Now, all I need is a way to easily spawn the police Gresley (lore friendly version of Ford Explorer) and we are set! Love this mod!

Wasn't sure about it at first because its such a big change to the game, but now I am so glad that I installed it. Works great and adds even more police vehicles to choose from and they all spawn naturally when their time comes. (Ex. Highway Patrol on the Highway)

This should be a must download if you play LSPDFR, even though you don't actually never get wanted, but rather pursue the wanted. It adds a really strong base for modding opportunities for peds and vehicles, RDE is basically a DLC you install and all the law enforcement peds and vehicles (added and non-modded)  are regrouped in the same place making your uniforms, liveries and car models edit much easier.

This mod is simply amazing, and is a must have for people who mod their game a lot. All the cars(except police4) are in the same location, and so are the peds, which makes modding much more convenient. The best part is obviously the amount of vehicles it adds to the game. SAHP has their own fleet of vehicles now, and it adds the SUV for the LSPD. It simply adds all that was lacking in GTA V's law enforcement(which was really lacking). It also allows a total replacement of LSSD, with BCSO, which I was looking for.

I don't write reviews often, but this is one of the best mods I have ever used!

*I gave it 5 stars, but it didn't seem to work when I submitted. Sorry about that @dilapidated& the Realism Team*

RDE 3.0 completely overhauls the role of law enforcement in GTA V, adding details that you wouldn't have even thought of, which makes the vanilla wanted system look like something Rockstar developers hastily coded in one afternoon. With each wanted level you gain, and each jurisdiction you enter, you can really see the amount of hard work and effort that has gone into making this fantastic mod.

Gone are the days where at the high wanted levels you were met with wave after wave of sheriff or unmarked SUV along with 3 LSPD helicopters with LSPD swat officers(even up in Blaine County). With this mod, you are met with SUV's and armoured police vehicles which change liveries (style, in terms of lighting set up, or specific model of vehicle) based on where you are. The LSPD have their own SWAT team which is different from a NOOSE SWAT team, which is different from a sheriff SWAT team etc. The same goes with helicopters; 2 types of sheriff helicopters, each crewed with their respective officers (i.e a highway patrol helicopter is manned by highway patrol officers who have their own distinct uniforms), on top of that, the police no longer just have access to the mavericks for their air fleet. Likewise, the highway patrol are not the only people who know how to ride motorbikes (the highway patrol have also learnt how to drive actual cars now as well, rather than their bikes).

My last paragraph has only touched the surface of what this mod adds to the game. If you want to find out what is below this surface, you better download it and find out for yourself. This mod is very simple to install (a .oiv file), and even has the ability for you to customise the .oiv so you only get the features you want to have out of RDE. This mod is a must have in GTA V.
