About This File

After weeks of hard work, testing, research, etc. It's finally here for public use...

The New York Police Department  2014 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan Highway Patrol and Slicktop Variants.

The real life counterparts were researched in depth for weeks before I even began work on the vehicles. Once I began work on the package I began to research more and more as I realized much more.

Before getting into the pack I want to first and foremost thank iansonwheels for his hard work and for pushing me to strive for a better release. Without him the skins would not have been as accurate, the setup of the vehicles would also not have been as accurate. He is responsible for both skins, and a whole lot of support throughout the process.

I'd also like to thank my brothers over at C3C who have been a tremendous help.

Without Thehurk the working highriser may not have been a possibility for this release.

I'd also like to thank IronicRainbowGooseShmurda,MustuRon SwansonMitchJokerMods and Trewq34 for their awesome help with issues I encountered and for their modding knowledge, and for being there to talk to.

Lets dive into the pack:

Want to complete your NYPD packs? Wonder when you'll be able to use the Highway Patrol Taurus and Slicktop Taurus that Stevetrackboyz55 uses? Now is your time!

The pack consists of as close to real life accurate liveries as you can get in GTA 4 (really accurate).

The pack consists of two variants of the NYPD Ford Police Interceptor Sedan (Taurus police interceptor).

The variants included are the Highway Patrol variant, which includes a real life lighting setup: Federal Signal Visor SLR (DROT), a working Highriser, Whelen SlimLighters, and more!

The other variant is the slicktop NYPD Ford Police Interceptor Sedan which includes a real life lighting setup, including a Federal Signal Spectralux ILS inner lightbar, Dual Whelen Avengers, Whelen IONS, patterns, and more!

Please keep this mini pack aimed for as much accuracy as possible in GTA 4. The game does have its limitations and restrictions.

In order to get the highriser to actually work the arms of the highriser had to use trunk and hood slots of the vehicle. So the trunk and hood of the vehicle will not work in game. Also in order for the Federal Signal Valor to properly work it must be in one of the following slots: police, police2, noose. Please use the included ELS configs to gain the full experience. A realistic handling line is included in the credits down below or in the credits.txt included in the .zip file.

Please leave feedback, but also keep in mind any changes from here on out will only be made if the request pertains to real life accuracy and is possible to obtain in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Enjoy!

-snip-

Holy shit, and I thought I'd pointed out a lot of problems.

On my part, I had no idea what the smaller number was; simply assumed it was a subdivision or something. I will change that.

Another thing, what do you mean by "inaccurate antenna," to be sure about what needs to be changed on the model?

listen, if you want to make a car like this, then go right ahead, if you see all these issues, then go ahead and make the thing. Don't go and nit pick my models if you haven't even bothered to make it. That is not constructive criticism, if you wanted to be constructive a PM would've worked fine. You didn't have to go in the file and point things out. You should definitely work on your models before you come nitpick at someone else's.

By the way I'm not trying to start anything just simply defending my work against nitpicking. No one has bothered to make these vehicles. I've worked for the past few weeks. I understand it was not 100% correct, but I've been working on fixing things that people have kindly pointed out, and not nitpicked.

If you took the time to point that out, why don't you make it yourself? You're nitpicking, not providing constructive criticism.

first off the model themselves are great, but for someone that seemed so interested to make a accurate model i thought i would point out the inaccuracies so it could be improved if he wanted to.

im not meaing to nitpick i figured id point out everything for him it didnt make sense to me to just pm it as i feel this info should be available to all.

A lot of things no one would really know i just happened to take some interior shots and know their setup.

i only release some of my models most of which are old and ive learned much more since.

and second off, i AM making my own version of the slicktop and will soon be visiting my local pct to get more accurate info on it.
